Setup was straight forward. Could actually see on the internet that it was functioning properly.

Shipping took forever, and they gave me a bricked miner. I've put it many BTC wallet ID's and it's still stuck on 0 hashes. I've changed the wifi and the charging ports and it's still stuck on 0

Seems to be plugging along.

Overall this is a pretty cool little device. It is quiet and runs on low power off a USBC cable. Setup was fairly easy, though the video they have for the instructions is really hard to understand and not that easy from a phone. For that I highly recommend connecting it to your computer and setting it up from there. The KH/s rate is really low on this, and if you compare the speed to the odds of actually grabbing and mining a block, it is about 1:65B (Billion). That is why it is called a lottery device. For educational purposes is it really good, to learn the mechanics of BTC mining and if you connect it to a public pool, you can actually watch the performance. It was worth what I paid for it for the research I wanted to do and see how the whole process works prior to really investing into expensive equipment.

Der NerdMiner funktioniert wie erwartet. Er bringt rund 78 KH/s und verbraucht 1 Watt. Zum minen von Bitcoins ist das Gerät natürlich nicht zu gebrauchen. Aber es ist ein nettes Gerät, um sich mit dem Thema Bitcoins vertraut zu machen. In sofern ist es ein nettes Spielzeug. Was man damit machen kann, ist an der „Bitcoin-Lotterie“ teilnehmen. Die Chancen einen Block zu lösen ist deutlich schlechter als im normalen Lotto. Aber bei Gewinn winken 3,25 BitCoins. Also wer Spaß dran hat…..
