Tightly packed in a polythene surround, this pack of 50 white self-seal envelopes proved to be quite a surprise.Although I tend to use online sources now for most of my correspondence, there are still many times I have to use envelopes (and postage stamps). White C4 size cost rather a lot of money in my High Street so I always settle for the cheaper brown versions. I was therefore interested to see how this brand of envelopes compared with the stock I already have.As I said, they proved to be a surprise. Although lightweight they are still sturdier than the brown I have been using, they seal easily - although I always add a little sellotape to self-seal envelopes, just in case. It is easy to write an address if you are not printing one.The seller points out that the grid pattern printed inside will scramble text and so prevent anyone viewing the contents whilst in transit. That is going to be a major selling point for a lot of people, especially businesses.Additionally - and importantly - these envelopes are made using sustainably sourced materials from sustainably managed forests with workers' protections. I couldn't ask for more than that.Priced at £8.99 at the time of this review for a pack of 50 x C4 size, this is a remarkable price, coming in at barely 18p per envelope - even cheaper than the inexpensive brown ones I have been using. A nice product, great price, and I shall certainly be using these in the future. Unless you are looking for very thick, stout envelopes, such as needed for posting photographs or other documents that should not be bent in transit, I will certainly recommend this product.
