These are really authentic sandalwood incense sticks from Shubhkart!! I have bought incense sticks from Shubhkart before and they really make great quality sticks, and these sandalwood incense sticks are no exception. As soon as you light one of the sticks up, you immediately feel the heavenly fragrance of sandalwood surround you. They are charcoal free, that's why the brown color I think, so they are not too smoky. Just one incense stick goes a long way to spread the scent in and around your house. Perfect for prayer-service or for ambience in a spa or the yoga studio. Each packet has 120 sticks so it's cost effective too. Highly recommended!!

This is a somewhat difficult product for me to review, and hopefully by providing as much detail as I am going to it will be helpful to you:1. The packaging: it looks ‘cheap’. If you saw this in a store you would not be impressed. The box looks cheap and the incense is wrapped in cheap/flimsy plastic.2. The visible ‘smoke’: First, note that this is about the smoke that you actually SEE - it seems that for some reason these incense sticks produce quite a bit more smoke than I am used to. It could be due to specific circumstances within my house, or at the time I burned them, but after burning 5 sticks, 4 of them seemed to produce more smoke than I am use to.3. The ‘burn’: these burn nicely and also burn fairly slowly, lasting longer than most similar products I have tried.4. The scent: okay, this is where this product shines! The scent is MUCH more ‘pure’ than any incense I have ever burned (and it isn’t even close). My assumption is that it is due to being charcoal free (although there could be other reasons). In any case, you REALLY get the smell of sandalwood - excellent aroma, and while I mentioned the excess smoke that is visible, you do *NOT* smell ‘smoke’ when it burns (which probably also helps to generate a much more pure sandalwood scent). The other thing that is notable about this incense is that not only does it produce a more robust sandalwood scent while burning - that scent lingers a LOT longer than most incense does.5. Price: the price for 120 sticks of incense is unusually low… like bargain basement low. When I saw the quality of the packaging it made a little more sense, but then once I was able to experience the scent, I can say that this is an absolute bargain and an excellent one.Overall - while disappointed in the packaging, and initial concern over the amount of smoke that it seems to produce, the scent won me over. The pureness of the scent, and the fact that it lingers, combined with the excellent price makes this a winner overall. I would give the product 5 stars, without question, but will take off one star due to the packaging. My reality though is that when I purchase something, I am paying for the product and not the packaging, so I can overlook that quite easily.
