I've purchased two sets of this specific item and did so as I thought the little tabs would be helpful. While the product is good quality, 2 of the tabs (on hinged side) get stuck every time when trying to close them and several have broken off. These I feel were very expensive for what they are and buying for the tabs thinking extra secure but having the tabs easily break is disappointing. Also a size specifically just for end to end connecting strings of Christmas lights with no extension cord involved would be nice! These are heavy for just this purpose.

These did work to keep the connections dry. They were very hard to install and I had to break an interior piece to allow the cord to sit down allowing it to be closed. The closures are hard to open and close especially when it is new. I think there are some that area easier to use and I will be on the look out for them. These are inexpensive and that's a plus

Overall a good product. Can be a little annoying when trying to close the case because the tabs Can get in the way. Found minimal to no moisture in the case....Much better than leaving the plugs exposed without a cover.

My irrigation kept tripping my lights (#floridalife), and I hoped that these would be the solution. For the most part, the interior of these were dry when we took the lights down, but a few were not.

Used these for Christmas and the were great!
