Serve their purpose.
They seem to keep rain out as long as you keep them horizontal. Let them hang and it runs right in with the cord. Definitely do not submerge. Tight on the cord and if you have non-factory ends on your cords which makes it hard to install them.

Worked through summer and fall rains so far
This has kept my outdoor extension cord connection dry through several months of summer and fall of 2023 so far. I diassemble it for the winter so will reconnect it this spring. So far so good. Seems well designed and constructed.

Held up in the weather
Bought it just before my area had steady rains for a week after an intense cold snap. It held up quite well through the raining. Only difficulty was getting the power cords into the ends... hard to make them lock in place & then getting the snaps to shut properly, but they stay latched once you get them!

Key for Safety
Running extension cords outside can lead to a number of safety related issues including electrical shock hazard. These devices help address some of that risk by placing the connection between extension cords in a water protected environment. Plus’s they help a bit with accidental in-plugging. Even when it is raining hard enough to stop the job on site and sending the crew for cover and coffee these devices keep the connection secure and dry. I use them anywhere and everywhere there is a connection I want to protect. Buy some and be safe.

Plastic seems thin, water still gets in
Sadly water still gets in but it does keep the plugs out of the weather for the most part
