This Volcano kit is super fun, with easy-to-follow directions and includes all of the required supplies to complete these experiments.It has 2 volcanos; one is plastic and the other is made of plaster. We did the volcano eruption in the plaster one first. It softened the plaster and helped us with the next phase - excavation. We so enjoyed excavating the plaster volcano to find 4 gemstones and 3 dinosaur fossils (dinosaur skeletons). We use the dirt and debris from the now destroyed plaster volcano to be the dirt and rocks for our next eruption. Using the plastic volcano, we placed on a shallow cookie sheet, put the dirt and debris from the plaster volcano for the landscaping. Added the included dinosaurs and trees to set the scene. Then followed the instructions to have a red 'lava' eruption. This was shortly followed by the snow eruption experiment.The cleanup was as easy as the experiments. Our 8-year-old says that these experiments and the whole experience, itself, was a 10/10.

My grandson had a great time with the experiments. Easy to understand directions. He left the volcano that you excavate the rocks and dino skeletons out of in water overnight on accident. The next day it had soaked up into the volcano. It actually made the excavation much easier but also messier, because it was more like a muddy clay. The image above shows what came out of it.

This volcano set is enjoyable for the entire family. The dinosaurs help create a realistic scenery for decoration after the project is complete. The instructions are straightforward and everything you need cones in the kit. I found the snow portion a little messy and probably wouldn't recommend doing that experiment. Overall, this is great for kids and nice break from the norm.

Got this for my 11yo niece and it worked great! Definitely not an explosion lol, more of an ooze but still pretty cool to see. Came with everything pictured and she had a great time playing with everything.

My kiddos did not want to go to summer camps this year. In an effort to make summer both fun and educational, without forcing them to do things they didn't want to do, I ordered this volcano kit as a fun activity we could try. They absolutely loved it! The directions are super easy that the kiddos can follow them, and it comes with enough supplies so that it's not a one use and done. They each were able to make it erupt!They didn't care for the excavating part much, but that's okay, still was a win!

My pics didn't come out clearly, but here's my take on this science kit. IT IS GREAT!!! My grandson truly enjoyed digging for his gems and dinosaurs, but then once we started the volcano portion, he was "oooohed and awwed" as it performed "its magic" (he said"). We must've spent close to 3 hours playing with this kit, and he's now hooked. We can still use the kit, which is great so he doesn't get bored. This is an upgrade to other kits I've seen, and it keeps the little ones occupied and intrigued.

So 5 year old is obsessed with volcanos and experiments so I got this for him and he loved it! The directions are super easy to follow along to and they give enough ingredients to use it multiple times. He really loved learning of the reactions of the ingredients and digging for the gems and Dinos. This would make a great gift or just an activity for an active kid.

The media could not be loaded.  This was really fun. The kids enjoyed making several eruptions there was enough materials to do it more than one. The trees and dinos it came with was a nice little addition. My son did not want to destroy his clay volcano in order to excavate the gemstones and fossils. This took several weeks before he was ok with breaking it down. The gemstones were very tiny but genuine. There was definitely a huge mess to be cleaned when done but what fun doesn’t include a little mess?
