Zoo Med Natural Cork Bark Flat, Small

We have a Christmas stocking for our pets, including my daughter's Ball Python, and my son thought it was dumb to have a stocking for a snake because "what is Santa going to fit in there for a snake?" So, Santa needed to prove to him the stocking had a purpose and this small piece of cork was perfect. It fit easily into the stocking so "everyone" had a gift on Christmas morning. Now onto the actual product - we're using it propped up against the back of the tank and wedged in place by one of the hideaway caves. It makes the tank look very nice and has stayed put so far. The snake checked it out immediately and I guess approves because she has been seen rubbing against it a few times. Overall I think it will help her during shedding in addition to making the tank look nicer.

Despite the "small" description mine is a good 9" long or so. Excellent value for the money.

I hate to even take off one star for this stuff. I love the look. It is good quality and size. The problem is in their labeling. I ordered a small flat, because that is what I wanted, a flat or at least semi-flat. What was sent was a high arch. I couldn’t use it. ☹️ Please fix your labeling, maybe round, flat and arch? They gave me a refund. No questions asked. Good company. Good product.

Don’t let the “small” fool you- pay attention to the dimensions! This is larger than I expected, but it works perfectly for my enclosure. My tarantula seems to like it, and has webbed up the substrate inside and even decorated its new home with some sphagnum moss.

This was slightly larger than I imagined but a great deal for the size! Cannot go wrong with Zoo Med. I can’t wait to use this in my KSB’s setup

I bought the creatures small bark for them previously and they are about 1/4 or 1/5 the size, this was only a buck more and it’s a much better deal unless you have a really tiny enclosure. The one I got is a couple Inches thick as well. It’s dirty on the underside so I will bake it to make sure there are no hitchhikers.

This came fast and is just as described. I really like the organic shape of the piece of cork I got (each one is unique). This is the small size (approximately 11x7x2) and just a slight concave underside. This slight curve creates a natural dip into the water making it perfect for the turtles to grip and crawl up on. I did soak it for about three days in 4 buckets of water before I put it in my tank, as suggested by other reviews. This keeps it from turning your tank brown. My little turtles love it and bask on it often.
