I've owned the miclock head jacks in the past, but I recently got a phone that does not have a head jack so I got this product.It works just as intended.Just be aware that since it's meant to block out listening, it won't play any sound so if you're talking on the phone/ watching a video/listening to music/etc you need to remove it. The headjack one comes with a little holder but this one doesn't so you have to be careful where you place it because it can easily get lost.Overall I am happy with the product and would repurchase it. I would love it if it came in other colors as well instead of just the standard black, and if it came with a little holder.

I had this for a few months and felt that it worked for a little while until it didn’t. My woman eavesdrops on me constantly by activating my speaker,which is the reason why I got myself a mic bloc. But now I can answer phone calls while the device was on. Don’t trust it anymore.

This item drains the battery on my mobile device. I do not recommend this product.

I cannot recommend anyone purchase this.This was bought for use with a PC as well as Mac/iPad OS devices. Unfortunately, this product has the major drawback of deactivating both the primary microphone as well as any built-in hardware speakers. Now this would not be a huge issue, except the ONLY way to reactivate speaker audio is to unplug this product so that it is no longer in use.Another thing to note is that this device will NOT fully disable Apple’s Siri from listening to its surroundings. Another fatal flaw. This is because Siri uses different microphones around the device to pickup the auditory cue “hey Siri”. If you want Siri disabled you have to do so manually in Settings. After Siri has been activated (hey siri), this product WILL disable Siri from picking up any additional sounds. Siri will then wait wondering why it can’t hear you.

Being stalked by narcissist and this is the greatest gadget to stop them in their tracks. No more spying. It really works! I would recommend and buy again for my other gadgets.

I tested this with the voice memo tool on my MacBook, it did not prevent the microphone from capturing the audio. I tried using this device on all USB C ports. No luck.The 3.5mm mic lock did work.

Useless and worthless. If this thing works, how come when I say “hey siri” Siri pops up just fine? To be honest, the iPhone has 3-4 microphones on them. This can’t and doesn’t cancel them all. If someone wants to listen to you, they will regardless if you have this plugged in or not. Also, the same applies to android, I’m pretty positive most androids also have several microphones. This product is a huge waste of money.

does what it says on the tin with no problem.. might be slightly annoying to have to change to phone audio output instead of the audio output going into mic lock
