Why did you pick this product vs others?:This sand is great. It’s a beautiful natural color. Like the sand on the beaches here in San Diego. It’s a little pricey, but if you want natural looking sand, it’s a great product.

Looks vivid and beautiful, I dropped it in after already having the tank full of water and the cloudiness was minimal to say the least.

This sand is beautiful and extremely clean! You can rinse if you like but I found that it was sparkly clean right away after water was added to the aquarium tank. The color is very light and natural. I’m very pleased.

Beautiful natural substrate for bioactive tank. Small enough to build terrain with but large enough to vaccum detritus from without the siphon sucking them all out. Took a while to rinse the dust off but you defintely want to do that before putting it in the tank.

Expensive but great looking sand. I choose not to pre-rinse it and it worked out just fine no cloudy water as long you pour water slowly. A bit too expensive for what it is imo.

I love this sand!! This is my first scape and I was very specific with what I had in mind. This sand is exactly what I wanted, a very natural earthy look paired with some red petrified wood. I have a 10 gallon rimless tank and the 3L bag covered it perfectly I have a little bit left over. I used a different substrate (fluval) to go inside the two cliffs to save sand. I didn’t rinse the sand and when I filled the tank it didn’t go everywhere or get cloudy at all. It’s super easy to move around.

I had such high hopes for this, but it was actually a bit disappointing. The colors are dull. Be sure and careful when washing it. I found a rusty nail in mine.
