Sound stuff
Having bought one pack I reordered & another two have just arrived. They are in a carefully folded pack rather than the expected roll, but this allows a good length and width combination. It is a very light probably neoprene foam like a wet-suit with a silver surface on one side and self adhesive on the other protected by a waxed paper. I tested a piece overnight held down in some water and it does not appear to take up any moisture. It is easy to cut to a paper pattern and then it can be checked again for a final trim before removing the backing paper. The adhesive level is about right as it can be pulled up and re-positioned until it is pressed down. It looks smart, smooths the contours and should allow the carpet to flow better as well as damping sound and vibrations. The original equipment sound deadening soaked up water promoting rust (it's in a convertible) and the stuff that was peeling off the back of the new carpet set even before it was fitted holds water too. Now to do the back of the car too.

Delivery Time Would Have Pushed Project Time Back A Month
Brilliant product, but the delivery time is shocking. I was going to but another 3 roles but because the delivery time would set my project back a month, I had to buy 3 roles of 6mm from somewhere else. If the delivery time was better, it would have got 5 star. But because of their delivery time I had to put thinner sheets on. Easy to work with, deadens the panels well. I have no complaints about the product only the delivery time. If you can wait the long period of delivery then its worth it. If not, you might be forced like I was to go with a thinner material.

Heatproof and soundproof on the underside of car bonnet
Covered the under side of bmw bonnet after the factory one broke up. It does stick very strongly to the metal and the engine is more soundproof so alls good

OK product. Easy to use. Check the size!
The material itself is ok. But do re measure and check for size i had 3 orders and everyone was not the correct size. My last order was the closest to size but still a square ft and half short

Thickness description is incorrect. This is ~5mm
While the overall quality is okay. The sheet is not 10mm but only 5mm which means you may need twice as much. Also it comes folded and not in rolls. I have written to the supplier to see if they can swap it for the correct thickness.
