Top marks for its compact size, its functionality and its price!
Although I am not as physically able to do all the repairs and maintenance that I used to do, I still like to go into a garage with some knowledge of what work actually needs to be carried out, before taking it somewhere. So, if you are like me, and just HAVE to know this stuff, these devices will help you immensely, in arming you with that all important knowledge, that prevents some garages from taking advantage of unsuspecting and unaware owners. This lightweight, easy to use and incredibly well priced base model OBDII/EOBD/CAN Scanning Tool, provides any car owner with a basic idea of just how well their vehicle is running or, highlights the most basic faults too, if there are any.If you own a car later than 1996, then just plug it into into your OBD2 port under the dash, and you are live! As a bonus, it also has the ability to check your car battery health, too. This reader, in conjunction with information on all the manufacturer’s parameters (Google is your best friend!) for your vehicle type, will show you what is either not working, beginning to fail, needs tuning or, needs replacing.Top marks for its compact size, its functionality and its price!

Great value
Nice for the money. No apps needed, nothing. Just plug it in and go. Works on all the cars I have tried it on. Very handy to keep in your trunk and use when needed. You can always help out others with it as well. Very handy tool for a reasonable price.

Get you one!
Diagnostic scanners are seriously useful tools to keep on hand. They basically tell you what's up with your car, and they're pretty darn accurate about it too. Takes away a lot of the guessing game and makes dealing with mechanics a whole lot easier. These scanners work with pretty much any car made in the last few decades, which is super handy. I used to have one, and let me tell you, it more than paid for itself. Unfortunately, I left it in my last car when I sold it. The buyer said they'd send it back, but no luck there. Turns out it's all for the best because the new one I got is way better. It's got a bunch more features, a color screen, and it even tells you what the problem is instead of making you search through manuals or the internet.
