highly useful, decent quality fold up back pack
When it arrived the folded up backpack was larger than I expected it to be but on opening it out I can see that it is a good quality thick material which makes the difference. I’ve had other fold up back packs in the past that have been made of a rather flimsy polyester material but this is more like a normal back pack. The size is really good too and there are several internal pockets as well as the front pocket that the whole thing folds in to and side mesh pockets.I used this on a recent trip to carry some extra food and bits and pieces and it performed brilliantly, comfortable to carry and well made so everything feels sturdy and looks like it will stand up to a good amount of usage. I love that it can be folded up in to the front pocket, it makes it easy to take with you in case you need extra carrying space.

Lightweight and fiddly
Another example of why I hate seeing things flattened for shipping, though in this case it's part of the design. This is a backpack you can keep in your backpack. Unfolding it is a trial on its own as you have to unzip the pocket, pull everything out then kind of turn the pocket inside out to complete the process. Re-folding is the reverse of the unfolding process only significantly more fiddly to do it correctly, even if you hopefully won't need to do it very often. To be fair it's very clever and once packed up it measures just eight by seven inches and has its own carry handle. Unfolded however it may be quite roomy but looks like a very sad specimen, creased and crushed and feeling very sorry for itself. Fill it with stuff and give it a little time and it will recover, to some extent, but a side effect of making it so easy to fold is that it offers little to no protection for the contents. It also offers little to no protection for your back as you can feel the contents through the rear mesh if they're too "lumpy". Great for a school bag, gym bag or even for travelling, I wouldn't put a laptop, mobile or anything remotely fragile in it. Nor would I want to carry any great weight for very long as the shoulder pads totally lack any padding. It's hard to be too critical though, this is a backpack that's clearly designed with convenience in mind not comfort necessarily. Two large pockets, one with two small sub-pockets help keep things separate and there are two external mesh water bottle pockets on the sides. Inside there is also a small hanger strap for keys and the like.Made from what appears to be a decent ripstop fabric, there's mention of abrasion resistance and tear resistance but no mention of water resistance. Fortunately, the fabric does appear to be extremely water resistant when I gave it a quick trial under the tap though I can't vouch for the zips, which do seem to be very good quality SBS branded at least.Good value while it's on offer but I doubt I'd bite at full price.

Lightweight Backpack With Clever Folding Design
This "Waterfly" backpack arrived as a small grey pouch about the size of an iPad with a black handle, and I was a little puzzled at first until I unzipped the pouch and the backpack unfolded from inside out. The pouch becomes the pocket on the outside of the backpack and the two shoulder straps are revealed. It all makes sense now. Once unfolded you have a decent sized (20L) backpack, big enough to accommodate a 15 inch laptop and a couple of "ring binder" folders with room to spare. It is a clever design and means you can take a small and portable pouch out and return with a couple of shopping bags worth of food on your back with your hands free. Great for cyclists, commuters, students, or just to take as a bit of extra storage for a long weekend. Although lightweight, the material is strong and well stitched with robust well attached zips and straps that look like they would stand up to quite a bit of pulling about. I like the simple understated design and the grey colour, and the stitched "Waterfly" logo is a nice detail. It doesn't say whether the material is waterproof or not but I would imagine it is certainly "shower proof" as I splashed a bit of water on it and it rolled off. This is a well made and useful portable backpack and the price seems thereabouts for the quality and functionality. I like.

A good lightweight and packable backpack
This is a useful compact lightweight 20L backpack which folds up neatly into the pocket on the front of the bag, making it ideal to store inside another backpack or luggage etc as a useful back-up should you need it. The green is a lovely shade and is well represented in the product photographs. The fabric appears to be quite strong, for a lightweight backpack it should quite hard wearing. The straps look fairly strong, although they don’t have any additional padding, they are perfectly adequate for this size and type of backpack. The back of the bag has an extra layer of padding and is covered in a breathable mesh for extra comfort and dryness. The main compartment is lined with a wipe clean polyester fabric, and there are four additional pockets of varying sizes, along with a small clip for keys. This is a very good backpack when used at a level it is suitable for. If you need a convenient, small and lightweight backpack for carrying light loads this could be ideal, especially if you appreciate the way it packs down into a compact package.

Clever design, compact backpack
Opened it out from it's little case to find that the bag it is stored in, then becomes the back pocket of the rucksack. Clever. It's not a giant backpack but is good for a daypack.Very compact folded into it's storage bag and handy to keep in the car to use as required. The straps are not padded but then it is trading compactness for comfort there.Still it won't be used for heavy items so the straps are fine for their purpose.Lots of pockets and considering the small bag it stores into, a good amount of room.Very light, but well made. Good stitching/construction all round. I thought I might struggle to get it back into it bag, but it was really easy and no stuffing/squashing was required. A well thought out product.

Praktischer Rucksack

Hochwertig, vielseitig verwendbar, stabil
