Great for preserving the colour and shine on antique furniture
English furniture is always polished regularly and that preserves the wood and the colour of the finish. I am delighted to have found Briwax which has revived my English antique furniture quickly and well against central heating and the climate.

Easy to use
Used on teak outdoor furniture that had turned grey and it now looks wonderful ! This furniture is on a covered patio. I am very impressed.

Nice for certain applications
I purchased this to apply a protective finish to a bookcase I made. I applied it over gel stain, and it certainly did a nice job. It did not tint the stain as well as I had hoped it would, but that is a minor quibble. Application is a bit more tedious than typical furniture wax. It tacks up fairly quickly and needs to be buffed out almost immediately, so working in small sections is a must.I applied it with steel wool, wiped the excess with a cloth, and buffed it with a shoe brush. It takes a minimum of 2 coats, though I would recommend 3 or 4 for a solid finish. The product has a much stronger odor than typical wax, though it is not necessarily unpleasant. And it has the added benefit of being easy to apply additional coats when needed.Overall, it offers a nice, subdued, low-luster protective finish and is relatively easy to work with.

Saved a china hutch destined for the dump
I bought an old mahogany china hutch for $50 that was the twin of one I already had. It was dirty and beat up. I almost didn't bother after looking at it up close. This wax covered the deep scratches and gouges, and restored the finish to a deep glow. Now it looks just like the one I had cared for for years until you get up really close and see the differences in texture. I was worried the wax would stain clothes if you brushed up against the furniture. Buff it off well and it won't.

Amzing Product
Briwax is a wonderful inexpensive way to bring wood back to life. I used it on my cabinets and saved so much money on refacing!
