Very low back drag! Ratchet direction selector goes the right way. Easy to swap bits but good lock when it's in. It's the only bit lock that I like. I can't stand the others I have. Only negative is that it's a fairly small handle size. Same as their electrical handle one that I have (non ratcheting version). It's just too thin to get a lot of torque. So personally I wrapped it in silicone tape to increase it in size similar to the next size up of Wera handles. See photo. I did a terrible job with the tape but other than being messy-looking it's now so much more grippy and I'm able to transfer so much more torque. I wish this had a PB Swiss Grip handle. 😭 Unfortunately the PB Swiss ones have super strong back drag in the mechanism. Wera do make one with a thicker handle but not with the same ratcheting mechanism as far as I knew. But it's possible I would have been happier with the larger 60 RA model for my uses. I like the Zyklop models that can tilt the head but I find the ratchet on them too stiff. For now this is an awesome tool.

I like this screwdriver very much just the right size. Very high quality looks like it will last a long time. It functions just as it should Right tighten, Left loosen. It will work with any 1/4 bits ( NOT DUBBLE END BITS ) it does not hold or come with any bits. It locks in the bits very tightly. Very good quality and value definitely a good buy.

This thing makes any bit set a dream to use. Auto ratcheting for tightening or loosening, quick release for bits, just an all around great product. Well worth the money.

returned my model 816 ratcheting for this and glad that i did, this unit has much lower backdrag and it's smaller size means you can apply force with the bottom of your hand while still being able to easily reach the direction selector. the "speed" aspect of the direction adjust is very cool and intuitive. the lower tooth count vs the 816 isn't really an issue, this isn't like a ratchet where the long perpendicular handle might get in the way. the ratchet feels and sounds very satisfying. lost a star because the slop / wobble issue from the 816 is still present. it doesn't affect usage too much and could even help in some cases allowing you to come at a fastener slightly off angle like a wobble socket. but it does detract from the overall feeling. also its much more lightweight than a 816 so better on a pouch or in a bag.

Really like this screw driver. Just buy separate 3 to 6 inch bits. The rotating knob is really nice. In the middle option, it disables ratcheting to make it like a regular screwdriver. In either clockwise or counterclockwise direction, it activates ratcheting, but also as a nice surprise can be used for fine movement manual twisting of the bit.

Another great product from wera. The grip is amazing and size is perfect. The durability is amazing, I have dropped this from ladders, rooftops and still holding up perfectly. It’s well worth the money. Good job wera!

Amazing feel in the hand, works flawlessly

Máxima calidad, como todos los productos de Wera. La función de carraca en un tamaño tan compacto es una pasada. Es in mango realmente pequeño, con una muy buena retención de las puntas y que puedes usar en modo carraca, o no, solo girando la corona frontal. Habe ihn als Ergänzung zum Toolcheck bestellt, da ich die Ratschen-Funktion interessant fand. Zu meiner Überraschung ist diese noch deutlich nützlicher als vermutet. Die Ratsche ist super leichtgängig, sodass man diese fast immer nutzen kann. Auch das zwirbeln beim Ansetzen der Schraube ist super und intuitiv. Dazu kommt, dass man die Richtung der Ratsche auch automatisch schon richtig gesetzt hat. Der Bithalter ist Wera-typisch super. Wahrscheinlich einer der besten auf dem Markt. Werde mir definitiv auch noch den großen Ratschendreher bestellen!

Finally WERA offered a ratcheting function that’s not only intuitive but also has fine tooth with less back drag at rotational angle no more than 10 degree at any given step. Withal, the selector switch also works as a “speed spin” for screws that rotate at lower drag than the ratchet function offers.
