My husband’s Christmas gift
This is leaps and bounds beyond its predecessor. The goggles work beautifully, the joystick is easy to use, and I am so appreciative of the blade guards. The footage is shockingly clear. I wish it came with a second battery but otherwise it’s spectacular.

Childhood Dream Achieved - Flying Like A Bird!
I just got to fly the DJI Avata 2, and dude, it’s so much fun. If you’ve ever been curious about flying FPV drones but felt kinda intimidated by all the gear and setup, this one’s for you. So, first off, it comes with these goggles (DJI Goggles 3) that are super comfy and give you that full-on immersive flight vibe — like, you feel like you’re actually in the sky. And instead of the typical drone controller, it uses this motion-sensing thing called the RC Motion 3. You basically point where you want to go. It sounds gimmicky, but trust me, it just works. After a few minutes, you’re swooping around like you’ve done this for years. The camera on it is insane for how small the drone is — it shoots in 4K, and the footage looks chef’s kiss. Super wide angle too, so everything feels big and dramatic. It even does slow motion if you want to get those buttery cinematic shots. And it’s got a ton of internal storage, which is awesome if you’re like me and forget to bring SD cards half the time. What really got me though is how beginner-friendly it is. There’s this Easy ACRO mode that basically lets you do flips and rolls just by pressing a button. It makes you look like a pro, even if you’ve never flown an FPV drone before. And if you're worried about crashing — don’t. It’s built like a little tank with propeller guards and all, so it can take a few hits while you're getting the hang of it. The only thing that might be a small downside is that the simulator support isn’t amazing yet, so if you’re someone who wants to practice a lot virtually first, that’s something to keep in mind. But honestly, it’s forgiving enough that you could learn on the fly (literally). If you’ve been on the fence about getting into drones or FPV in general, the Avata 2 makes it feel way less scary and way more fun. It’s like DJI made it for people who want the thrill without the stress.

Exactly what I need for my video business
Absolutely fantastic the instructions and the quality are perfect. The connectivity is very fast and the battery life just needs to be a little bit longer. The pressure quality is 100% awesome for the value of the money. It is absolutely great and the controls are well balanced, and perfect.

Without a proper manual the product is entirely useless!
Got all of the physical contents out of the box in anticipation of having some fun with the kids this afternoon. And then I sat down to read the manual. To my shock, it was one of those 2.5 x 4 inch fold out, see through things in a plethora of languages type to so small, I was unable to discern if there was one in English. Even if there was. It would be impossible to read! Two major issues here: Firstly, drones can be dangerous without proper guidelines and there is a level of responsibility needed to use them. Secondly, For a product costing $1000, a decent manual written in the language of the Purchaser should not only be expected, but considered vital to the transaction! In addition to this review, I've written to the manufacturer and to the company that hosts this website 😉 Let's see what happens...

This drone can be whatever you want it to be!
I love this drone. It’s easy to fly and you can get as deeply into fpv as you want. I’ll never be someone who flies an fpv obstacle course, but I really enjoy putting the goggles on and exploring the world. And the video quality is amazing. I have a commercial pilot’s license and I’ve even flown the F-16 twice. This thing holds my attention from takeoff to landing. Get one.

Legit Seller (Smart Fly Gear)
Smart Fly Gear is legit! I received my DJI Avata 2 without issues. Got it with 15% Christmas discount too! FPV drones are something else, definitely different use case. Requires some skill to get great shots. This drones requires fast and/or low flying to get that adrenaline FPV rush.

If your a beginner get DJI refresh
Excellent little drone, fun to fly, very quick, durable and a perfect entry level drone. I got the DJI care refresh plan I’m new to these FPV drones so I thought better safe than safe than sorry I did manage to crash this thing multiple times in the two days I had it and it took them like a champ at least the first few. After about 10 crashes I noticed it wasn’t flying right and upon inspection the left front motor was starting to bind up and was almost like a bearing or something was ceasing up so I decided to fly it anyway I mean I had the care refresh package so why not. After about 6 minutes into this flight I decided I was good enough to try sport mode that was a mistake I sent it right into the big oak tree in my front yard it smacked a large limb bounced off the trunk then slammed into the concrete below that was the end of the drone the motors would bind because the frame got bent. However amidst all that no props were broken so under normal flight conditions this thing is built tough and can handle whatever you throw at it. Overall the value is exceptional for as well built as it is and what you get I think it’s fairly good and reasonable. The bad Battery life, it ain’t the greatest I averaged about 10 minutes of flight time ripping it with sport mode before I crashed and ended its life now on normal mode it did perform well average time was about 18 minutes and you could still rip around just not as quickly in sport mode. After a couple hard hits the gimbal would come out of its mount and it was a pain to get back secured again that should definitely be addressed. Also with care refresh I thought you could keep your wrecked drone but apparently you have to send the drone only back and if it’s worthy of replacement they will if not they just repair it so if you get the refresh plan keep that in mind plus it’s $50 to send it back to them and turn around time is roughly about a week or 2 depending on material availability. I only included this because it’s an FPV drone you’re gonna wreck it regardless if you’re experienced or not because some of the controls aren’t as nimble as you’d think or not as responsive as I thought it would be one misconception is the gimbal itself it gives the illusion that the drone is flying straight up or down when pointing up and down but in reality it’s just the gimbal so the likelihood of wrecking is fairly high.
