IT WORKS! I was very hesitant to order this fix for auto stop start. I highly doubted that it would work without throwing a code or disabling my factory remote start. I decided it was cheap enough so I ordered it anyway. My vehicle is a 2018 Equinox LT 2.0 and it totally works with no codes or effect on the factory remote start. All it does is eliminate auto stop start, couldn't be happier.

It causes a check engine light. Your car's computer will not like this and will cause issues.

2019 Buick Enclave. This item does exactly what it says it will do and you cannot beat the price given the grief and annoyance of the engine auto stop/start. You can decide for yourself whether this "feature" does what it says, but first of all, I doubt that it's worth anything other than helping the manufacturers meet their EPA MPG goals and secondly, it is a huge annoyance to me to have the engine cut in and out nearly every single time I come to a stop. As I understand it, the jumper fakes the car's computer into thinking the hood is open which prevents the Auto S/S from engaging, the presumption being that the hood is up and you want the engine to continue running. Regardless of all that, it works, no dash warnings, nothing. It just works, perfectly. The worst part of the install is dealing with the troublesome GM wiring connector. Pulling out the red 'lock' doesn't release anything. I ended up slipping a small flat screwdriver blade to release the connection. After that, easy, but there was some cussing. I used a black zip tie to secure the extra length of wiring to the existing wire harness. When you get past the connector, it's over. Enjoy your test drive!

East to install. If it looks like the end of the cable doesn’t match up with the vehicle’s cable, rotate it 180 degrees and push together. No check engine light and engine keeps running when brake is applied. The inventor of this is a genius! This is better than the factory installed button on later models. Once cable is installed, you can simply forget about it.

The one feature on vehicles that I absolutely HATE, is the stupid, worthless and meaningless “auto stop start”!!! I recently bought a pre owned 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and was disappointed when I discovered it was equipped with the stupid feature (stupidly I wasn’t looking for it). I immediately began to do my research and found 2 methods to disable it, but they were only temporary and needed to be activated each time you got in the car to drive.Then I found this little gem. For the price of an large over priced starbucks, it’s a cheap buy. It took me about a minute or less to install it and it work like a charm. The car operates as it normally would with no lights on the dashboard coming on. Now I just get in the car, put it in drive and go! No stop start crap YEAAAAAAA🤩

This product works! I think it took all of a minute to replace.
