Work brilliantly as my video shows
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to wiring plugs and switches and I like to cut wires to the correct length and strip back the correct amount of insulation. I used to have some simple wire strippers but I lost them so have been using a knife for months. After an awkward switch I decided it was time to invest in some new ones. I was recommend this type by a friend and decided to give these a go.They work really well as you can see from my video and cut the required amount of insulation off without damaging the wire stands inside. You can adjust the wheel to suit different thicknesses of wire so it's worth testing it on an offcut first but one set up its a breeze. The wire cutter works well too and gives a nice clean cut to the wire.I'm glad I finally replaced my old wire cutters and I'm very glad I upgraded to these.

must have stripping tool .... but also need an additional pair of strippers to meet all DIY needs.
Having used a stanley knife for years and after several cut fingers along the way I thought it was time to look for an insulation stripping tool. After much investigation I found it necessary to purchase two tools that will deal with the range of cables found in the normal household. The DANIU stripper is ideal for removing both the outer insulation on most types of cables up to 2.5mm and the inner insulation on the standard 1.5 and 2.5 house cabling. If it is necessary to remove a long length of outer insulation then it should be done in a few shorter lengths to avoid the grips slipping on the insulation. After I used the DANIU a couple of times the lock nut on the back tightened and prevented the handles on the gripper from moving ( I noticed this in a couple of other reviews) - once I released the nut slightly the tool worked ok and has been alright since so this may be something to watch out for. ( I took one star off for this fault as not everyone may have a spanner to fix the problem nor know what is causing the problem.)The second tool I purchased was the “Dechengbao Automatic Wire Stripper and Cutter” and it has proved to be ideal for stripping the insulation off the inner cores of flex cables less than 1.5mm. Keep in mind that both these tools have a single cutting edge and the wire is pulled by the grippers so there does tend to be marks left on the insulation but they will not cause a problem. There are various options of both these tools on the market but I was looking for something that was not expensive, would cover the broad range of cables that one would come across around the house and was suitiable for the DIY person - purchasing both these tools I feel fitted the bill and have used them several times since I purchased them with good results. - Definitely much easier than using a stanley knife ( or your teeth) and wish I had purchased them years ago.Tool 1) Dechengbao Automatic Wire Stripper and Cutter, Automatic Cable Wire Stripper with Cutter Wire Stripping ToolTool 2) Wire Stripper, DANIU Stripper Cutter AWG10-24 Compound Automatic Wire Stripper Plier 3-in-1 Hand Tool Self-Adjusting Cable Stripper, Wire Cutter and T

A very good set of professional Wire Stripper Pliers
I retired from the Post office as an engineer back in 1979 when technology in communications was rapidly changing. Yes we had cable strippers which at the time worked but not by today’s standards if this Self Adjusting Wire stripper is anything to go by...Cleverly designed, very good grip and they cut straight through the cable cleanly, gone are the days of using a Stanley knife to strip the cable back to the right length for the job.The other thing I like about them is the crimping tool part to it which certainly makes this item universal which would be suitable for industrial use as well as the home DIY enthusiast.Great value, Great product which I recommend to have!

Good for hardcore wire work
This stripper is really good for "hardcore" wire work (eg. mains twin & earth, mains flex etc, from the 3A stuff up to 16A seems okay to me). It works really simply, seems pretty easy to get a clean edge on things and so does what you want. I've got it on-hand in my main toolbox for any such work that comes up.Where this product doesn't work (IMHO) is on smaller wires - the sorts of things you might describe as "electronics". I'm not sure what SWG, but thin wires just don't strip right - instead of cutting the insulation and sliding it off the end of the wire, it cuts it and pushes the insulation further up the wire, leaving the waste bit exactly where it is (and yes, I did adjust it to try to get it to work). This makes cutting a short piece of (say, single core) wire impossible. For that, I went back to the other design of stripper, even though they're a bit plasticy (and not so good on thicker wire).

Solid peice of kit
I use this for 18-24 wires. This strips wires quickly and easily. I haven't seen any broken strands. Tool feels solids and feels great to use. This wire stripper is a great addition to my tool box. This wire stripper is the perfect size for stripping small gauge electrical copper wires 10 - 20 AWG, This is such a handy tool and couldn't come at a better time. We had purchased some outdoor lighting, and a outdoor speaker a few weeks back, and these strippers are so perfect for the size of the wires. The handles have a comfortable grip, and feel good and secure in your hand. Towards the back of the 'mouth', there is a cutter which allows you to cut the wire clean and easily. Slip your wire into the marking that fits the wire and close the stripper and slightly pull for a perfect strip. I used this on the wires for the outdoor speaker where I had 4 wires. Each cut and stripped so easily. No fuss. This is such a great little tool that is such a lifesaver when stripping wires. It has a locking mechanism that keeps it closed and safe in your tool box. Built to last and last. Great product that is made with excellent quality!
