I followed the instructions included with the Mushroom toys & Silvervine, but only 1 of my 5 cats showed any interest! The Mushrooms are bigger than expected- good for a "kicker" but too big to bat around, chase, or carry in their mouths. I thought the newness of the wool & size of toys might be hindering the enjoyment of the "crack" so a week later (last night) I tried the Silvervine again with their favorite toys. (We had no other catnip exposures during the week.) 4 of them wanted nothing to do with the Silvervine dipped toys. 1 of them went a little nuts for about 2 minutes after smelling it but left his absolute favorite toys alone! Another cat actually acts like he's afraid of it and immediately leaves the area! :-( Sorry to say my kitties much prefer regular catnip to Silvervine. (I wanted to try it because 1 of the 5 doesn't react to catnip so I was curious how she would respond, but still no reaction.) The Shrooms are SUPER cute and great for grabbing onto with all 4 paws, but my cats are more into chasing & "playing hockey." Very high quality toys, though! Twin Critters has AMAZING customer service. I emailed them my experience & they immediately gave me a FULL REFUND and asked me to donate the toys & crack to other kitties to try! I would not hesitate to purchase from Twin Critters again in the future! Thank you for allowing us to try this set!

I have 6 cats. It's hard to find toys that they all enjoy and will play with. ALL of the cats enjoyed these shrooms. Some more than others, but they definitely have all checked them out and come back to them to play and roll around.The KittiKrack definitely has a stronger attraction element than catnip. They all seem to enjoy it, though I think one of my cats is getting a little obsessed. LOL He just loves to lay down and chew on the mushrooms, rub is face on them, and thump them for hours. But he just seems so happy, so I'm not really worried.The mushrooms themselves are fantastic, they're very durable and made of a nice thick wool or something that holds on to the KittiKrack powder really well, and also is able to handle cat bites and thumping super well, too. They're much bigger than I expected them to be, which is great. I was worried they would be on the small size, because for some reason they just don't look very big in the pictures. They are, in fact, very nicely sized.All in all, I'd say we have 6 satisfied customers in this house.

I have two kitties, one responds to catnip...one does not. They both love this.First, the mushrooms. The size is really nice, they're large much larger than I expected but not TOO large. They're perfect. And the wool makes it very easy for the cats to manipulate and play with the mushrooms, especially if they're nipping out. This is one of the best toys I've gotten my cats period. I'm thrilled with it, they LOVE it...and they're really really cute.Second, the 'Kitticrack' is silvervine. I did my research on this. This version comes in a powdered form. You will get a funky taste of it while loading the mushrooms. It's not horrible it's just 'oh god I need a soda'. Cats respond to silvervine more strongly than catnip, and more cats respond to it (around 78%). It's also completely harmless for them.My cats responses:Leia (a catnip FIEND): she shoved her head in the amazon bag it came in. Now, the silvervine was: in an amazon bag, then in a plastic bag, then in a metal tin, THEN sealed in a medical quality pouch) and she was still reacting. Once I loaded up the mushrooms she was on her back, scooting around the carpet, all 4 paws in the air playing with the mushroom and rubbing the mushroom all over herself.Han (immune to catnip): He did not respond. He did enjoy playing with one of the mushrooms. He did think the odor was something different. But he had zero response to it. Not unexpected. He still loves the mushrooms.So in short, this is the best $20 I've spent on my kids in a long time. WELL worth it, and I'll be back for more.

The KittiShrooms are turning out to be great toys for my little pride of cats! We have the wool pods from Twin Critters for the cats and they love them, and I wondered if the wool Shrooms would be as good. The three shrooms also came with a tin of Kitty Krack, or silver vine. I've never tried silver vine, and now I am wondering why I never heard of it before. I sprinkled some of the Kitty Krack on the shrooms and called in the cats, and I would say it was a great success. Of my 6 cats, only 2 seemed unaffected by the Kitty Krack, but they don't respond to catnip either. But my regular nip heads were ecstatic. It seems to give a bigger high than regular nip, and when sprinkled on the shrooms, it was a perfect match. I have found the shrooms scattered all through the house, and they seem to be holding up to a great amount of abuse. My little one-eyed Rosie was determined to tear her shroom up, and I was a little concerned that she would, but it has held up well and all I had to do was take scissors and trim up any ragged threads that she raised. That seemed a phase that has passed, and certainly the KittiShroom was tough enough to take a severe amount of abuse.Over the years I have had to throw away a lot of worn out cat toys, but I am getting the feeling that these are going to prove able to stand up to my cats for a long time to come.
