Great alternative to a Hit Box
I've been using the Haute 42 - Haute Pad for several months now, and I couldn't be more pleased with it.The build quality is exceptional. It feels robust and stable, providing a comfortable experience for your hands. The heavy-duty leg grips ensure that it stays firmly in place during use. Connectivity is seamless with its plug-and-play feature, and I've encountered no issues at all. The size is just right—not too big or too small—making it comfortable for long term use.Overall, I highly recommend the Haute 42 for anyone considering a leverless option without wanting to spend a fortune. In my opinion, it looks even better than some of the more popular leverless sticks available on the market. Definitely give it a try.

Low profile Switch/PC all button Haute arcade controller
This review is for the Haute 42 which came from the JZW-Shop and was priced at $77 when ordered. The Haute42 is an all button "stickless" fighting stick type arcade controller. The look and feel of this unit is good overall and the price to performance is on par.It plays really well with fast low profile short travel switches. The stability on the button caps was better than allot of other arcade controller buttons and switches. The button layout and placement was solid and to my liking. Along with the primary 13 button layout there are 7 smaller buttons along the top edge and a small display screen up in the top left corner. The primary 13 buttons are comprised of 5 movement keys (two up keys) and 8 keys corresponding to a,b,x,y,rb,rt,lb,lt. The switches themselves are swapable low profile 4 pin linear red heads. They feel good, have a fast response and are replaceable. The other seven buttons use a different switch and are much smaller. The l3,r3,start,home,screen,back buttons are on the right and turbo is located on the top left. The little black screen shows button inputs for the 13 main buttons along with id info.Connectivity with the PC or Switch is done through a USB type C to A cable via the type C connector at the top of the control pad. There is also a type A port on the right side of the control pad for use as a extention port. The body is low profile and is comprised of two clear acrylic pannels sandwiching the circuit board. It looks great and is light weight. The stability is good enough for use on a table or lap and is stable enough as long as the unit isn't abused. It is not good for protecting from bending or twisting or impacts. Try to avoid this as a child could turn this into a taco with their bare hands. I am comfortable throwing my other fighting sticks across the room to a friend due to their robust cases. I would NOT do this with the Haute42. It looks great though and is very low profile. The included USB type A to C wire was average at best. Haute has a webpage from which you can find support and firmwear updates. If you have a playstation, I recommend you read their website before purchase.Overall I really like this controller. It plays great with fast crisp button presses and connected to the switch and pc with no issues. Just dont manhandle it, its dantiy and beautiful, not rugged and robust.

USB C, Competent UI, hot-swap switches, though more buttons would have been nice
The media could not be loaded. The Haute 42 T13 is not perfect, though I find it to be a very competently designed minimal arcade controller. It was ready to use straight out of the box with no firmware installation or configuration. If you need to configure it, this controller has some very useful options and may even make a good accessibility controller with the right tweaks. It's heavier than it looks while being thin enough to stick in most laptop bags. There is virtually no flex to the frame either. I can't help but think it looks like a piece of functional art due to the clear plastic revealing it's PCB. The clear material also keeps the tiny screen protected and visible while it relays genuinely useful information. I love how corresponding buttons light up on the screen as you press them, and helps you see if they are registering correctly. If turbo is turned on, it changes the button's image to reflect this, so you can easily keep track of button settings on-the-fly.I'm not fond of the sandwich design, I worry dust or a spill can seep into the PCB from the edges. At the very least, an edge that came down over the PCB from the top-most layer would have been welcome. Both the screws and threads are removable, so if they get stripped you can just replace the tiny part instead of the whole plastic cover.I like the hot-swapable switches, since it lets you replace worn out switches or even chance the feel of the switches by using different types. You can't use full size switches with this unfortunately, as the low profile switches use a different standard, though there are still many options available. The RGB lighting is not particularly good looking, as the light doesn't diffuse very well into the provided caps the same way it does in the advertising. It's still bright enough to be useful for things like emulating the Xbox button colors. You may need to memorize a few pre-programmed macros, especially if your taking this around to competitions or gatherings to play on more than one game or console. You will probably need to remember the macro for changing the direction/movement keys to emulate the left or right analog, or the dpad of a controller.Switching between supported consoles is done by holding a particular button down while plugging the controller in. It remembers the last console you set it to (as well as the last mode the movement buttons were set to), so you don't need to redo it every time if your just using it for one console. If you forget what button swaps it to what console, a guide of the default console settings is printed on the bottom of the controller. If you need advanced customization, you can reconfigure it with a web browser. The process is similar to changing settings on a router, so if you've done that, this should be familiar; You plug the controller into your PC while holding the controller's "Start" button, and it goes into configuration mode. It then shows you a URL/ip address on it's built in screen, which you type into the browser. This tells your browser to look for a device on your computer's USB ports broadcasting that IP address. The browser should then take you to the controller's interface, and gives you a series of drop down menus and input boxes to customize how it functions and swap buttons around. This interface is particularly useful if you have fighting games that support analog sticks, and attacks that are only available during fast or slow movement speeds. This lets you set a button to act as a speed shift. This leads into one of the flaws with this controller though; The T-13 only has maybe 1 button for an easy macro or shift setting solution. If your like me and don't want to think about complicated button presses and more than you have to, this is an annoying limitation.Overall, I was impressed by the functionality, build quality, and ease of customization. If this model holds up well over the coming years and I wind up needing a replacement, I feel like I can trust this brand to give me a good product.

Super responsive and great arcade feel
I got this for my son and I to play some of our favorite fighting games on our PC. A few comments:* This controller uses kailh mechanical switches which are really responsive, have a great tactile feel, and still have a low profile* Customizing the controls is fairly straight forward and there seems to be a lot of options for even more personalization* The overall build quality seems rugged and the design looks really cool* The domed switches are actually hot swappable and you can try different mechanical switches if you prefer a different feelOverall, this has been a lot of fun and is a huge step up from your generic controller.
