I purchased this PSU by MSI as part of an upgrade project for my PC. As modular go, this PSU is as expected. I appreciate the flatness of the cables, which made cable management far more tolerable than I was expecting (but some stiffness should be expected).My only gripes are that there was no plastic wrap on the packaging box (which I've come to expect from computer components), and there were no screws to attach the PSU to the backplate for my case (thankfully, I had some). This should not detract from the component itself, which I stalled easily and is working fine at this time.I plan on updating this review within the next 6 months to report on the PSU's performance.

I recently purchased the MSI MAG A1000GL for a new gaming build and couldn't be more happy with it. It has plenty of power for my build, super easy to install, the cables are flexible and easy to work with yet still durable, the high power 12V connector is a nice addition as well. Compared to other brands this had the best price to performance for what I needed and a 10 year warranty to boot.

I have put tons of power supplies in different builds and this one is built well and holds the quality that is expected of MSI products. The flat cables make it easy to hide them within the case to look clean. I guess I would say its quiet but I have only had it long enough to install it then play on it for about six hours. I will give update if I have mechanical problems or what not.

Best power supplies! I upgraded from an MPG-A850GF to this MAG-A1000GL because I just purchased an MSI RTX 5070Ti. My 850 would probably have been sufficient, but I wanted extra headroom. Plus, I really wanted to make use of the new 12v-6x2 connector instead of using 2 pci-e cables to connect to the Y. I wanted no chance of the issues that many of the RTX 40xx series had.This PSU came with all cables needed, nice pouch to hold the cables in, and included the new 12v-6x2 cable that can do a true 600 watt connection. Definitely added protection of your device.

Its a great power supply if you have Nvidia or lower end AMD card. There will only be 2 PCIE power ports after you plug in your CPU. The 9070XT has 3 PCIE power slots. You can use the provided pigtail cable and technically it should be fine as the PCIE rail can technically provide over 150 watts, but that's a lot of technically that I'd rather just avoid and get another power supply with the third 8-pin. Nvidia's 12v plug is there so if you decide it's worth the fire risk you can power any of their modern GPUs. This critique only applies to AMD cards and only the higher end 9070XT and 7900XTX. If this does not apply to you and you don't plan on ever going with a higher end GPU then this PSU is great.

The MAG A850GL PCIE5 Power Supply has all the power you'll need. I guess theoretically it has it's limits, but for 2025, nothing is missing from this PSU. I hooked it up in no time to my new desktop/build and it paired nicely with the X870 GAMING PLUS WIFI. You can't go wrong with the modular format and the cords are flexible enough to bend where you need them and small enough to easily hide or push through the smaller holes in your case. Highly recommend this PSU if you're building a high-end gaming machine or work station.

works great as intended. i didnt see the pcle 5 but it fits on my b550 motherboard and everything else. i would buy again. msi is great. no they dont pay me i just love how easy their products are to get support.
