I've been using it for a few months now and I find it incredibly useful. The app is a little tricky at times, but it's been working well for me so far. The functionality is exactly what I need and Has done well in recording long form clips with my scripts. Learning how to read a teleprompter well is definitely a skill that needs to be practiced.

I’ve been using the NEEWER Basics X12B Teleprompter with my DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and it’s been fantastic! The setup was super easy, and the build feels solid but not too heavy. The 12-inch screen size is just right—not too big or small—and makes it easy to read my script while keeping eye contact with the camera. I love that it’s adjustable too, so I can position it just how I need it. It fits my iPad perfectly, and it doesn’t take up too much space, which is a big plus.

Does what it is supposed to do

This was way better made than I had anticipated. I used with a Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra 4K webcam, (not a DSLR) and works great! Just incase anyone is wondering if will work with a non-traditional camera set up, it does. Now I had gotten the Neewer overhead desk live broadcast rig pole, it did not work with it. The parts were compatible, however the arm could NOT support the weight. No biggie, I had tripod and set it up on it. Like I said, it’s pretty heavy duty, just have something ready to support the weight. Worked out anyway, I used the arm for a fill light. I saw a lot of complaints about the app that comes with it, but I really liked it. I haven’t put my own scripts on it yet, but the remote pared easy and quick, and worked perfect to adjust the speed, and size of the text, as well as being about to pause and hop to sections forward and backwards manually with it. What more could I want with a teleprompter? I very much recommend!!

Neewer has a tendency to fill many market needs at the cheaper price point without sacrificing quality.l They delivered again here. This teleprompter has upped my You Tube game. I use my phone and the glass on this is excellent. Easy to read. Not much more to say than that.

Is it built well? Yes. Is it convenient? Yes. But, as convenient as this teleprompter is, its not worth $200+ . I struggled for a long time deciding on whether or not I wanted to put out the money for a teleprompter. And when I say, "a long time," I mean about a year.I looked at MANY of the options available & landed on the the Neewer X12 Teleprompter. I have purchased Neewer products in the past & I have always been happy with them. So, I figured I would go ahead with getting the X12 teleprompter.Like I previously said, this is built well, for the most part. But, it's not $200+ "built well," though. For this price, you should also get a tripod. It does come with a remote that you can control what you're reading through the APP that is available through a download.With the remote, you can control the Start/Stop of the text. You can make the text larger or smaller. You can also speed up or slow down what you're reading. Also, when paused, you can back up or move the text forward. That definitely makes things a lot easier for ANY content creator.For the most part, I am happy with the product overall. What I am not happy with is the price. Honestly, I can see myself paying $100 - $125 for this product. With what they are charging, you should also get a tripod. If you have the money, then by all means, buy this for the convenience, the remote & the available App. But, if you are on a tighter budget, then I'd research a little more & look into some of the cheaper alternatives out there. And like I said, I am not knocking the product itself. I am mainly talking about the price. I hope this review helps some people out there in making their decisions.
