A must for every fan of pop/rock music
I am nearly sixty now, living in the Czech Republic since my birth. There was almost no chance to buy any British/US records in this country in the 60's (and even later) so we enjoyed listening to Radio 208 and those pirate stations. This book brings back the nice times when we could recognise all the new hits but neither did knew correct names of the artists nor titles of songs. Anyway, thanks to both the great DJs as well as to our good foreign pen friends we were able to follow the scene and discover such ever lasting stars like the Kinks, the Beatles, Dusty Springfield, the Stones and many others. I used to have this book many years ago but it was stolen so I am happy to find it again here. Try it and you won't be disappointed. (My apology for poor English.)

A VERY WORTHY READ
I had a vested interest in reading this book as my father was one of those who put up capital for the original Radio Caroline back in the 60s. It's a very worthy read, told sympathetically by Paul Harris, with many photos.

An eye opener
This book opens up the world of Offshore Radio. It tells how things progressed from start to finish, and all the bits in between. The struggle between governments and the operators of such stations. The whys and wherefores. A well researched and presented book. If you are a fan or interested in the Offshore station, then this book is a must for your collection.

Re-living my youth.
In the sixties I FOUGHT for free radio. This brought back so many memories. I have updated my library as I already have the first edition, even though it was illegal to possess it for many years - you just cannot believe the actions of the British labour government.
