WOW 😱😍
📖Book Review📖The Reappearance of Rachel PriceWOW.Im so glad I picked this up when I did, from the first sentence I was HOOKED and just wanted to know more.I honestly DEVOURED this book. And if you know me you know I’m a slowwwwww reader but I flew through this book it was so addictive and gripping.I loved Bel she was my favourite character in the book, some people would probably say she’s mean but I honestly loved her. She was honest with how she was feeling and not afraid to speak her mind. I did feel a bit sad for her tho, it was like life dealt her a crap card but she just got on with it and didn’t complain. I could understand why she acted the way she did and why she didn’t want anyone to get close to her because they would just leave anyway.Bel and Ash together were fun, I loved their dynamic and their banter.I could never guess where this book was going. It kept me on my toes and I loved every second. It feels really good to read a holly Jackson book again and I can’t wait to read more from her I just love her writing style and how it grips you from the start and doesn’t let you go until the very end.The plot twists and turns in this book were crazy but just made the book more enjoyable and I was unable to put it down. And OMG the ending 😱😱😱 wow never would have guessed that.Reading this book disrupted my life (not in a bad way), I couldn’t do anything except think about or read this book.Genuinely one of the best books I’ve ever read.I thoroughly enjoyed this read and would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it or a holly Jackson book yet. Definitely one of if not her best book by far.Tropes🔪YA mystery thriller👀Who dun it🕵🏼♀️Mystery🔪Suspense🤫Family drama/secrets💨Disappearance🔀Twists and turns📖Fiction🏘️Small town suspicion💕Romantic subplot🗣️Unreliable narrator🎬Documentary👩🏼🤝👨🏻Partners in crime🌓Grumpy x sunshine🥹I’ll stay with you🫂Forced proximity5⭐️0🌶️

Refreshing and surprising!!
“The people who loved you, the ones who really cared, they would always come back.”4.5 stars overall. This book was unexpectedly something I didn’t know I needed to read. Like, it’s literally SO good, and I wasn’t even expecting it to be. Sure, it started off a bit slow, but when it picks up, it really picks up and starts to make you question everything that is going on in the book. The motives. The characters. The plot twists. EVERYTHING. I liked a lot of the characters at first, Shelly, Charlie, Jeff…and hated the documentary people for prying into their lives. Hell, I even hated Rachel when she was introduced, thinking she was going to be the bad guy in this book twisting everything because she could and wanted to. But eventually, I learnt to hate Shelly for shaming her daughter about food and Jeff for not doing anything and being an idiot/oblivious and Charlie for pulling away, not being there for his daughter. But what I liked about this misleading was that Jackson literally managed to manipulate my POV on Rachel Price and make it so that it looked as if Rachel was the bad guy and that she was having an affair with someone, or that she was trying to leave because she didn’t want her family anymore. I literally believed everything that Charlie Price was saying because why not? And then things slowly started falling apart and there was more questions than answers. Eventually, and slowly, those questions were being answered only to open up more questions and let’s just say, it was a shock that Patric did what he did to not only his wife, but Rachel. It wasn’t as surprising to find out that Charlie was behind it, since he fled, but it was surprising as to the reason why. I wanted there to be a reason—that Rachel was a horrible mother or something. But there wasn’t. It was because he didn’t like that he didn’t have control anymore over Rachel, and eventually Bel. And what I hate even more is that Jeff chose Charlie, knowing what he was going to do, until the end when Carter showed up. But what he and Shelly did to Rachel, knowing even if they didn’t ask questions, was really crappy and made me hate them even more. The only thing stopping me from giving this book a 5 star read is the fact that Ash left and we didn’t get to see a romance unfold. I would love for one of Jackson’s books to actually have an ending where the love interests remain together!

Holly Jackson can do no wrong
Holly Jackson continues to be one of those authors that captivates me right from the off - she knows how to write phenomenal thrillers. Some incredible character work, a delicious mystery, and a superb ending that I both did and didn’t see coming.

Fresh take on a missing person book
I really enjoyed this book. The premise was very unique for a murder mystery book and I appreciated this different take on it and the fact it was being filmed for a documentary which gave it a different twist again.I definitely had some suspicions, and I did guess one of the surprise, but I literally had no idea how it was going to end and the last sections of the book were one twist after another.I really felt for Bel and I thought her character was written perfectly, her entire world was rocked when her mum went missing and it is turned upside down again when she returns. Watching her develop her own mind and opinions during this time is fascinating and the book is a great example of how perceptions can change and how complex families can be.Overall it was an enjoyable read with a great cast of characters.
