Q: Is this safe to use to remove rust on outside furniture that will be stripped of paint and repainted?

Not sure the bristles are strong enough to remove rust as they are made of a plastic type of consistency. I used my brushes to remove stains from carpeting and they work great!

Q: Is this good for stripping oil based stain on wood? If so, what color bristle color should I get!

Not sure if any of the bristles on these wheels are strong enough to strip an oil based stain from wood. I used them to get stains out of carpeting and it worked good.

Q: Do the bristles contain an abrasive or are they strictly nylon?

nylon of different thickness and stiffness.

Q: Will this work to clean my stainless steel grill grates?

I think this would work well on grill surfaces.
