Moved my koi into a new pond and decided that I’d set up a full system for a couple of weeks before demolishing their old pond and moving them. Looked at this type of filter and my local pond shop tried to talk me in to parting with £350 for one of these. Sorry, love supporting local business but no chance when this was. £200.Very easy to set up. So easy to clean the filter that my wife does it once a week for garden water. Normally she is someone who would not go near a filter and pump but this is so easy. Instructions were a bit vague with regards fitting the clear tail on which connector but not a major issue. I worked it out. Looks well built and looks like it will last well. No leaks and no water stains so far. Very happy.

I have had this running in my pond for just over a month now. It is fantastic. The pond cleared up lovely after a day and the water has stayed crystal clear since. Cleaning it is a breeze and I was surprised how mucky the pond got in such a short time. Every week I go out there, turn the handle and clear the filter, as easy as that. Will have to see how it copes in the warmer months, but so far so good and so much cheaper than the Hozelock ones.Setting it up was a breeze and pretty straight forward. I wouldn't want to keep opening it and cleaning it out all the time because the metal belt that fastens it together was a little fiddly to close up, but I can't see it needing to be opened.I would highly recommend this filter

Great filter easy to get up and running and it's cleared the pond in a couple of days. I would have liked to have seen a longer cable on the light unit as it was only about half the length of my previous filter

This filter was out of stock when I 1st tried to order it; I considered ordering an alternative but I am pleased that I waited a couple of weeks until it became available again. Prompt delivery, great price compared to similar items both on Amazon & in aquatic stores and the product has exceeded my expectations. Very easy to install (well apart from digging the hole to bury it.); I hardly needed the instructions and it was connected & working within an hour. I have replaced a gravity filter with an 11W UV bulb so I'm not sure if it's the bigger 18W bulb or the filtration system, probably a combination of both but within 5 days my pond has gone from pea soup to crystal clear & I have got happy fish that are already feeding better. I did use the spin clean system every day whilst it was clearing so that it didn't get full of sludge so I would recommend this to anyone installing it in a green water pond.

Excellent product easy to flush but has an inherent fault..... READ ONThe pond is crystal clear and fish are more active than they have ever been.I do have a large pond and as the fish have grown they have exceeded the recommended ratio of length of fish / cubic meter so I do need to flush this filter every 4-5 days ish. But as it's so easy to do I don't have a problem, besides the waist is great stuff for the compost heap so it's a win /win all round.PROBLEM Just modified this post as there is a design/manufacturing fault which causes the bottom sponge to get chewed up on a regular basis. The fault is that the paddle is out of alignment so it doesn't mesh properly with the sponges thus deteriorating them prematurely, the bottom sponge is the worst affected as only 60% is in contact with the paddle, so if you buy a PFC-20000 be prepared to have a complete stripdown on a regular basis. I have sent the manufacturer pictures of the problem so that they can address the issue but their response has only been to deny any problems and to say that the warranty is with Amazon, so see for yourself the mesh problem

Very easy to set up (15 minutes max with the right fittings). Extremely impressed with the result as now we have cristal clear water, no sign of the algae and very happy fish.We have a medium pond of approx 6000 liters of water, 25 quite big kiss, a powerful 24000l / per hour pond pump, a UV external filter (we didn't even need the one encapsulated in the filter but we thought it may be useful sometimes in the future) and it took this filter one hour to clean the water, one night for the cristal clear result.Impecabile delivery. Order it Wednesday at noon, got it at 7.30 am next day. Yeah... The post man woke my friend in time to go to work :) also we have Prime.

Very good UV filter system, quick delivery, and when installed water clarity improved within less than 24 hours. Happy we chose this and would recommend.

I would not recommend this product I have had problems with it leaking into the electrics and it blew the uv bulb,I have tried to get it replaced but they trying to say its the way I've cleaned itout or I'm using the wrong pump. It's a waste of £200 I've spent and the 2 year guarantee is a joke it doesn't exist,

Aunque el funcionamiento del filtro y su sistema de limpieza me parecen muy interesantes y funcionales, la calidad de los materiales me hizo devolver el articulo por un defecto en la tapa, una fisura que perdía agua, poca, pero seguramente con el tiempo y la presión terminaría por agrandarse. Prefiriendo no arriesgar elegí otra marca, aunque mas pequeño el filtro me parece muy satisfactorio
