Good Budget Option for Enthusiast
For the price, this thing is impressive. As many reviews I've seen stated, the software is pretty terrible but once you understand the gaps, there are a lot of workarounds. It's super bright even with a lot of ambient light. I have shades in my room, not blackout, so haven't tried with direct sunlight but with shades, I can easily adjust to see a lot of tone and contrast. This was an upgrade for me from Optoma Hd142x, and the only thing that would convince me not to get this once my Optoma died would be if I was rich. Good budget option for enthusiast trying to save money.

Great Projector
I've had this projector for almost a month, and I really like it. I'm projecting on to a 110" screen in a dark room and am seated about 10' away. The 4K image is bright and sharp. I have an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K plugged into HDMI 1 powered by the USB port. In HDMI 2, I have a Sony BDP-S6700 Blu-ray player that up-converts 1080p to 4K. I don't use the built-in speaker. I have a 2.1 speaker system that connects directly to the Amazon stick using Bluetooth and digital coaxial from the Blu-ray player. Using some generic active 3D glasses I also purchased on Amazon, I've watched most of my 3D movie collection and have to say the experience is fantastic, an almost movie theater experience.Setup was very simple after getting it mounted to the back wall of the room. I turned it on, focused, used the manual zoom to fit the pattern image to the width of the screen. I then used the lens shift to bring the image in line with the screen vertically. Adjusting the mount I got the image as level as possible. I then manually zoomed so no edge was inside the perimeter of the screen. Using the corner adjustment in the projector menu, I was able to bring any side or corner of the image that was outside the screen edge to exactly align with the edge. I have not had to re-do this since setting it up a month ago.I keep the power setting in Eco mode and it's still plenty bright. If you use the other power mode, the fan speed clicks up a notch. I've made a few color adjustments using settings I found on the internet. And with these settings, to my eyes, the white balance looks best in the "Cold" setting.Pros: Relatively low cost for 4K, HDR, 3D. Very bright. Very sharp. Very quiet. Color is excellent.Cons: Not the best black level (black is always dark grey). Built-in speaker is very basic. A bit of "rainbow" effect can be seen if you move your eyes rapidly.

Just what I wanted!
Nice and bright, great for games, got it at a good price on prime day. This is my first projector and it has not disappointed, though I'm not super picky. Will update if I ever run into any trouble.

Viewsonic LX700 is about the same as my Epson 2250 (1080P)
I have owned my Epson 2250 (1080P) for almost 4 years (replaced the bulb at 3 years when it flickered).I wanted so much to love the Viewsonic because it's 4k and laser. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.SAME:- Sitting 14' away from the 150in screen, I don't see any more sharpness/detail.- ECO mode: fan noise sounds the same (specs said Viewsonic 26db, Epson 28db).- Both have vertical shift 15 degreesPRO:- trigger input- laser life is 4x longer than lamp bulb- a few inches not as deep as my Epson- remote has back lightCON:- picture color is not as good as my Epson 2250.- The 1.36x zoom is better than average but still not as good as my Epson at 1.6x zoom, so the Epson has no oversplash beyond the screen.

Great quality.
We had done a ton of research to find a good projector. This one kept popping up with great reviews and now we see why. Perfect picture.

Poor zoom… low lumens
Update: The brightness in this projector is highly inadequate. It can only be used in dark rooms or in the night. I would never buy this again. The only reason I am giving this 3 stars instead of 5 stars is the throw distance. I have a 100 inch screen and a throw distance of 12 ft but the zoom is not good enough to shrink the image down. So I have the image bleeding off the screen. I had a rosin projector before that had much greater ability to adjust zoom. The image is good but it’s not worth the price.

So far so good.
Limited audio out. I have an older receiver and had to get a hdmi eARC to optical out to get audio to receiver. The audio jack had a lot of noise so couldn’t use that. Great picture and brightness.

Best value in laser projector
Yes it is geared for Xbox but games now have more detail than movies. I use it mostly for movies and it performs just like the higher dollar laser projectors. Ignore the negative reviews. This model performs. I do wish this model had more optical zoom range for my ceiling mount needs to be moved for my other projector had more zoom for the perfect viewing distance. My perfect area is a 120 inch diagonal. Other lasers max out at 150 but this one specs out at 300. So far I am very happy. I bought extended warranty for $120 but I want that 3 year usage out of this. In 3 years anyway the projectors and technology and price will be different.
