This bracket is a neat little accessory for your 70/80/90D. I tried fitting it on my 77D as well as it is very similar in size, but this bracket is purpose made for the above-mentioned models and doesn't seem to fit any other camera. It's primary purpose is to allow you to mount your camera vertically on your tripod without touching the ball head at all. It makes creating panorama shots a lot easier as you just lock the ball head and pan on one axis to get a perfect result. It's also handy in product photography when I need to take photos in both landscape and portrait orientation. So swapping between the two is super fast and is giving consistent results. You can also attach different accessories to it, thanks to the numerous screw threads, while allowing access to all the ports, battery, memory card and flip screen. The bracket is supplied with two allen keys, one of which can be stowed in a compartment at the bottom of the bracket and held in place with a magnet. This magnet could be stronger in my opinion. Having a bracket permanently on the camera is also a good idea for protection, the bottom and one side of the camera is protected against knocks and bumps at least. All in all it's a good inexpensive piece of hardware that I can only reccommend.
