Keto cornbread!
i bought this for one reason and one reason only: Keto Cornbread.I LOVE cornbread, y'all. I make a fierce cornbread that is just loaded with carbs. I have discovered that Keto (low carb eating plan) is a great anti-inflammatory eating plan, which is critical to pain reduction and healing from an knee repair surgery.I am not gonna lie, when my family wants cornbread with chili or chicken, I am not hesitant to make it. And I do eat it, lol. And I'm kicked out of ketosis.I read about a Keto cornbread recipe that uses almond flour (similiar texture as corn meal) and corn flavoring. I made it without the flavoring and, while the consistency was a perfect match, the flavor wasn't quite right, no matter how much butter I used. So, I got this.Last night, I made it again, using this corn flavoring. I tweaked it to resemble my own recipe and served it to the family without clueing them in. I tasted the batter and it seemed a near match. But, me being me, couldn't leave well enough alone and I added more flavoring - about a tablespoon more.Truth is, I used too much. I assumed "more is better" and shouldn't have done that with a new ingredient. I could tell I'd overdone the flavoring when I tasted the batter after adding the extra. I just hoped it would mellow during baking.Today, there were two pieces left when I woke up. I warmed them up and had them with butter and, y'all, it was heaven. So, the flavoring mellowed overnight. The flavoring has a learning curve. Stick to your recipes measurements until you know how it works for your tastes.Based on the size of the bottle and the price of it, I expect the flavoring will cost me about $3 per 9x13 pan of cornbread. I'm cool with that, considering it lets me enjoy a low carb version of a beloved recipe. And, of course, I have the option of making a much smaller pan for just myself and a regular pan for my family. That would make the corn flavoring last longer. Will I buy this again? Yes, I will. It lets me have cornbread, which I love year-round.

Dolce Foglia Sweet Corn Extract - 2 Ounce
I tried Dolce Foglia Sweet Corn Extract - 2 Ounce in hope to add some corn flavor to my soup, and was not very impressed. The liquid does have a smell of sweet corn, but the taste had a bit of weird chemical taste I can't quite describe in words. When unboxing, my glass dropper shattered when I pulled it out of the box. Not sure what happened, whether it was already broken during shipping, or whether it already had a crack in it that when pulling out it broke. So I ended up adding it a little at a time straight from the bottle, being careful to only add by the drops, to my soup instead. What's odd is that it went from not being able to taste anything to completely altering the taste in a matter of 2 drops. It completely took over my soup and it had an after taste that was saccharine. What's sad is that it didn't taste like corn at all, but it turned into something else. I don't think I will be using this again.

good sweet corn bread ingredient
I particularly purchased this product to prepare corn flavored bread. As its description implies, it provides a good flavor and scent for baked foods and possibly drinks.I enjoy the results, though it took me almost one bottle of this to prepare my baked bread. The corn scent is pretty strong, so if you like that flavor and scent, you will enjoy it. I am not sure how well it works with other baked food recipes. I think it will make a good sweetener to my latte or tea.Liking it or not, I guess, depends on how much you like that particular flavor.
