YETISidekick Dry Waterproof Gear Case and Bag Accessory

I’m glad Yeti made the bigger size of Sidekick. 1L version was great for many things, but 3L version definitely was perfect for my needs, which was to use on Hopper18 when paddle boarding to keep some items easily accessible on the water. Easy access and solid construction. Needed to take some air out of the bag at times, but it was not too much of a problem for me. I wish the Sidekick line came with the strap. I’m a huge fan of Yeti and do not mind purchasing solid trusted products like this, but versatility of this product increases if the strap wasn’t sold separately.

Exactly what I needed for the Yeti backpack cooler, which had no pockets to store things.

I purchased the Sidekick to use with a YETI Camino 35 carryall as a boat day bag. The Velcro attachment loops are solid, and the material of the body of the Sidekick appears to be very durable, not thin vinyl like other knockoff waterproof bags. The Sidekick seals very securely. I haven’t tried dunking it completely under water, but for general purpose to keep critical items (wallet, phone, key fob, hand held GPS and radio, etc.) it works very well. I’m going to purchase a second one to attach to the YETI Hopper soft cooler.

The pouch is durable, the seal is good. It attaches the front of the small cooler but is a little loose. Considering the quality of yeti products I find it hard the believe that they are unable to design a better way of attaching it to their products. I like it, but I would not buy another one until they design the attachment portion better. I’m sure the product will last, I like it, just a little disappointed.
