Old filter was 6.5 feet tall and was replaced with this filter in my 15’x12’x 5’deep koi pond. It absolutely Works great. Very happy fish!Only one problem: do not fill the filter first with filter medium before inserting the top control module. You will never get it in place twisting the top in per directions. Insert the top first, then with the filter partly on its side, work the medium in a little at a time. Very frustrating. To the manufacture: put a hole in the top side to fill filter!The top control head is very similar to a swimming pool filter operation, very easy after finally getting the filter medium inside; takes two people to fill the filter with the medium; be patient!

I've had this filter running for a little over two weeks now. It is doing a very good job keeping my pond clear. My primary filter for the pond is a bog pond, so I am way over filtered. I got this filter to use in conjunction with my UV system.The only thing I didn't like about the filter, were the directions for putting the control head in. The directions tell you to move the control head back and forth while moving it through the medial. That does not work. If you put the filter on its side and use the void space created, it's very easy to get the control head through the media.
