Best nail clippers I have ever bought, I suffer from MS and these clippers were easy to hold and use.

This is a set of two clippers from Rui Smith.The clippers come in a cardboard box with a plastic window. The clippers themselves are metallic with a 'bio-plastic' shell. The clippers seem sturdy, sharp and they cut nails well.I personally am not a fan of the plastic shell and I do not like the supposed eco-credentials/green-washing marketing of this product as there is no need for an extra plastic casing for most people. But of course I can understand that having a grippy and more ergonomic shell might help with the grip for people with disabilities or for those who find the metallic clippers slippery. I am just not sure how having an extra plastic casing makes these supposedly 'carbon-conscious'.The shell also makes them a bit more difficult to clean.

The media could not be loaded.  These nail clippers are very sharp and the plastic cover helps a lot with grip so you can make more precise cuts safely, as they have two counter sizes, making it easier to cut the nails of both larger and smaller fingers.

Well made and strong nail clippers. Clip nails easily, both hands and feet. Only niggle is because of the way they are shaped it's hard to see where I'm cutting sometimes.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a nice set for a present. It comes nicely presented in a cardboard box with a window.The texture of the moulding around the metal clippers is smooth and pleasant to touch, with dips in the right places to add comfort to the user.They are very sharp and surprisingly easy to press. The casing has a small slit for the filing area but it is not really usable although I don't think anybody ever uses that area as a file.

The quality of the nail cutters was really good. The sizes were perfect. The nail cutters were sturdy and sharp. It was easy to cut nails with them.

I got these to replace a simple metal pair of nail clippers I bought from Boots when I was a student in 1991. However after doing a couple of nails with this new set I had to go back to my old ones. They are very sharp and well made but because they have a plastic surround over the metal I found I couldn't see where I was clipping. I like to clip my nails down quite close and I was very worried about slicing through the end of my finger trying to cut blind. I also found the restrictive viewing meant that i couldn't just clip and slide along my nail, clipping as I go and taking the nail off in a single crescent like with my old ones. This meant that I had to clip each nail multiple times, repositioning the clippers each time as I went and ultimately leaving jagged edges which took a lot of filing down.They are well made and nicely packaged but honestly I prefer my ancient pair, even though they are a bit blunt these days. I won't use these again. Maybe I'll see if my sister has any more luck with them than me. It's a shame and maybe you will have better luck - maybe it depends what you are used to or how close to the finger you cut your nails, but these aren't for me.
