Love!
This is the second hover-1 board I have purchased. My son loved his so we ordered this for my daughter. She is 6 years old and already works it like a pro. I definitely recommend this hover board.

Find a different hoverboard.
Junk. Hover 1 hoverboards are 50/50 junk. Luckily I think my kids are out of that phase. Too late to return otherwise this one would be going back. Battery life is less than 10 minutes and it barely goes the advertised speed. We own another hover 1 that is supposed to be cheaper and slower and it runs circles around this thing. I hate to say it but this is one area where you really have to shell out good money to get something that works

My daughter loves this
I had ordered this for my daughter, who is 5 years old. The directions and safety precautions say that they must be much older to use it and so forth, but she was able to learn it in a day. She is basically a pro now and is very comfortable riding it in the house and outside as well. It makes us crazy when she is riding this around in the house with her iPad in her hands and headphones on…. Really…. The speed is good for her, she can control it very well. She can rush forward and stop herself and spin around and take off in the opposite direction. The battery is rechargeable and they provide you a specific cable for it. It’s not a typical USB style charging cable, so you need to keep it in a good location. We had thought that my wife had thrown the cable away when we were looking for it after she ran it down for the first time. When she started to ride it, it would last probably 3 days of her riding, which maybe equated to 3 hours of usage before it needed to be charged. Now she uses it longer, maybe 1-1/2 hrs at a shot and it needs to get charged daily after she uses it. This was an interesting and fun enough for my daughter that my wife had actually ordered one for her too, so they are out chases each other on these. It’s another great toy that keeps her from in front of a screen, and helps her build up some body control skills. I hope that this helps.

Works great; my daughter LOVES it!!!!
I ordered this hoverboard for my 11 year old daughter, and she is in love with it (it is pink with RGB lights, what isn't to love?). Getting it set up was easy, we simply plugged the board in and glanced over the included directions. My daughter had never tried a hoverboard before, though she has spent a lot of time on a scooter. She was able to learn to balance on this board very quickly after a few false starts (she started off practicing against a wall first), and looked like a pro in no time. She also was able to teach her younger sisters how to ride (9 and 7), though our 7 year old has to be helped a bit. This is a smaller board with a 160 pound weight limit, so it is definitely best for kids or petite adults (for size reference, my 11 year old in the video is a US women's shoe size 8). Also of note is that this hoverboard does best on very flat, smooth surfaces, with minimal gravel or rocks. Overall, this hoverboard has its limitations, but works very well within these boundaries. For the price, it is good for young (or small) beginners, and my kids definitely enjoy it.

Great beginner hover board
So far so good.. charge doesn’t last as long as my daughter would like but otherwise it’s a great hover board. Does not go super fast which is ideal for my 7 y/o

Slight Learning Curve, Then It's Amazing
This thing is pretty awesome once your child learns how to use it. It helps a lot if you have something like a deck with a handrail, or anything similar, that the child can hold onto while learning. After they get used to riding on it, this hoverboard can take them around the yard if it's level, deck, sidewalks, parks paths, and more. It can go fast or slow, and can make very tight turns when needed. Battery life is very good. A charge lasts for at least 4 hours, usually more than it will get used in a day. Highly recommended, amazing value for the reasonable price.

Couldn't hold a person under indicated weight limit
I was so excited to get this hoverboard, and the fact that it was supposed to be able to be used by an adult. The pictures and description indicated that the weight limit is 160 lb, however this broke during first use by someone just under 150 lb. The hoverboard was fully charged and ready to go, so I turned it on and started practicing as per the instructions. It was acting weird and wasn't really following what it was supposed to do. Not even 5 minutes later it gave a weird buzzing roar, and creaked like the plastic was breaking. And turned off. And wouldn't turn back on.
