CaldwellFlash Bang, Target Hit Indicator with Impact Light System and Easy Attachment for Shooting, Shooting Sports, Target Practice

I purchased this hit indicator to use in conjunction with the Caldwell AR500 steel target and mount kit to use at my homestead gun range. I placed this setup on a T-post at 300 yards and in the bright Texas daylight it is easy to see and verify hits. The LEDs are compact but extremely bright The design is very simple and effective and low profile to help avoid direct hits on the LEDs themselves. Eventually I know someone is going to have a direct hit on the exposed LEDs so the fact that it only costs $30 is awesome. Quick heads up if you have the monthly Amazon warranty plan (which I do) and you accidentally damage this hit indicator you can get it replaced for free no questions asked ! Worth the $15 monthly fee and it covers all past, present and future purchases.

I installed this at my rifle club. It worked very well after 4 months of people shooting at it with the same batteries. Even after a bullet fragment hit some of the lights, it continued to blink when hit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Use these lighted hit indicators for long range steel target matches.They work great on big targets (12” or bigger), on smaller ones they separate from the target.The velcro sticks to the unit and the target OK, but the velcro doesn’t stick to itself.I tried mounting them with Neodymium Bar Magnets, but the magnets were too brittle and shattered on the first impact.The units themselves hold up very well and are a far better value than their competitor.They are OMG bright and can easily be seen at 1000 yards.For longer distances I use 2 on each target.I wish that the duration of the flash sequence was adjustable.Sometimes on quick follow up shots the unit is still flashing when you take the shot; and that’s with a bolt action.I would have given it 5 stars if the velcro had worked better.

Amazing value for the money. Don’t waste money on an expensive impact light. I bought two when they were on sale for $23 and put them on a full size IPSC target at 1150yards with and they were very bright on impact with 6.5creedmoor. No question of a hit at all. The supplied Velcro does come off a fresh steel target so throw some extra gorilla glue on there. I also was concerned about the Velcro absorbing the impact at long distances so made sure part of the plastic was touching the steel. Not sure if it actually did anything but definitely be buying a few more of these for long range. I think two could be spotted up to a mile.

Exposed crap, bought 2, hit the first one day one. 35 dollar shot! I won't use the second one at all, save it to show them both to everyone that comes over to shoot.

When shooting steel at long distance these strobes make it an awesome experience super rewarding to see the strobe light up when you hit the target. At closer ranges with 22lr and ear pro it's hard to hear if you hit the target but with this strobe you know everything same with bigger calibers 1000 yards plus.

Pricey for not having that much hefty to them..I understand that these are probably built well in theory, but when the tiniest piece of shrapnel(indirect hit) takes down the whole thing on the first session I'm going to say that's not a great deal for being so weak and flimsy.I probably wouldn't get this again unless the price dropped by $10
