It's very elegant looking & stands out that is for sure. However, there are some serious cons....1 - Cleaning: You can't just clean this with the 7th generation soap. That will clean it 90% of the way, but there will still be small coffee grounds in the holes. The only solution to that is using canned air to clear those out.2 - Metallic Taste: There is def. a metallic taste, which takes away from any of the flavor in the coffee and I would also say disrupts the caffeine.3 - Coffee Grit: This is the same issue I had with the french press. Too much coffee grit at the bottom of the Chemex.Again, great idea, but these are some serious things to consider if you are about to spend $125-200 on this product.
