Where has this been all my life!
This is amazing! I can test each panel, and see the effects of different serial and parallel configurations, and needs no batteries, uses the power from the solar panel. I have a couple of old panels and the tags on the back are long gone. It’s great to see that these 15 yr old panels still put out the same wattage they did as new (or were rated as, I didn’t test them back them from a power perspective). Very good investment!

Easy to use!
I used it to test my solar pannel before installation.I love it!

Frustrating experience - this Device does not have a built-in fuse
Product: FrogBro Solar Panel Tester Photovoltaic MultimeterNote: this multimeter has a max limit of 60A and a max limit of 60VInitially I really liked this multimeter because I was installing a new solar system and was trying to collect data during the winter to determine how the solar panels performed compared to their specs. At that time I was testing a single panel and I was pleased with the results as they compared to the solar panel specs. I connected my solar panel to my inverter but wasn't getting any data through the inverter, it turned out that the inverter required a minimum of 120 V to wake up. I connected 4 of the solar panels, in series, and used the solar multimeter to test whether the voltage or current exceeded my inverter limits, however when I connected the solar panes to the solar multimeter it fried the multimeter as 4 panels generate about 200V. This solar multimeter is only approved for 60V. This is fine but when working on a solar system it's easy to forget how many panels are connected together. I don't know why anyone would buy a solar multimeter to test a single solar panel. This is an expensive multimeter and in my opinion, given it's purpose, it should have had a built-in fuse to protect the multimeter. If you purchase this multimeter you should figure out how to get a fuse between the multimeter and item being tested. I had purchased a clamp multimeter and I had another general multimeter which tests up to 600V. My issue now is that when I test my solar panels using either of the other two multimeters the amperage is not at all what the FrogBro Solar Panel Tester Photovoltaic Multimeter showed. It doesn't matter whether I test a single panel or multiple panels connected in series. Based on the results the solar panel multimeter provided I purchased an additional 30 solar panels and now I'm not getting anything near the current the solar panel multimeter showed. I have 3 devices to measure current and voltage (1-inverter and 2-multimeters that support up to 600V), all 3 devices provide consistent data. My problem is that the solar panel multimeter is fried so I can't even check to see if it generates the same data as it did before.

Works for what I needed to do.
Works for what I needed to do. I needed something to test solar panels to make sure they work quick and easy, and this meter does the job I needed to do. Thanks
