I bought this on the suggestion (orders under pain of death) of my dear wife, a Nanny of considerable abilities and deep love of our grandchildren.My son and his wife have a new born daughter and being their first are still finding their way and one of them was bath time. As my wife was over she spotted that trying to hold baby and wash was awkward and given that we already have two other grandchildren of six are up to speed on the current state of baby accoutrements. Which, to be honest seem to have proliferated beyond all understanding.Anyway, this is one of these accoutrements and whilst easily dismissed is, in fact jolly useful.This is a cheap thing but is so brilliant when you are trying to deal with a newborn baby at bath time. It fits neatly into a baby bath providing a comfortable resting base for said child whilst ensuring that he or she is not easily able to slide around. Of course one must add that you have to stay with the child and watch it carefully at all times despite this keeping baby in one place.This means you have both hand free to soogie (seafaring term meaning clean - I'm a marine engineer) the small bundle of joy especially when things have gotten a bit brown and smelly...Baby seems to like the soft foam to lie against as well. Far better than a hard plastic bath tub.Overall a cheap way to make bath time for new born's easier and safer.
