I've held off on reviewing this rug until I got a real feel for how it would hold up. It's now been 2 months since I began using it as the main rug in my living room, which receives the most foot (and paw!) traffic compared to any other location in my house.First, I absolutely LOVE the texture of it. It's so, so soft. I have multiple other brands of washable rugs in bedrooms, and thus far, NuLoom takes the cake in both softness and overall quality. It doesn't seem to hold stains like standard rugs do, and it's a breeze to spot clean which is crucial with kids and pets.I *am* a bit concerned about how long it will actually hold up, though. While washable rugs have a lot of benefits, they are much thinner compared to your standard rug. I had my previous living room rug for 5 years, and before replacing it with this one it certainly didn't look brand new, but I could have probably gotten another year or two out of it easily. With this rug, I've noticed the area that gets the most traffic already has noticeable wear and color loss. That's really concerning, especially since it's only been 60 days. To be fair, the rug is primarily red which is the dye color that is the most difficult to hold & is prone to faster fading. (I'm thinking of buying a different NuLoom brand rug in a bigger size and different color to replace this one since it has faded so much. That would give me an idea if it is in fact attributable to the red dye and not the product itself. If I go that route I'll do an in-depth review.)I'm so torn, because like I said this is absolutely the softest washable rug I've tried and seemed to be on the high end, quality-wise. But the fading, ugh! I think you're good to go if you're not using it in a busy room, but it may not be the top option for high traffic rooms, if longevity is your priority.

I use this rug to cover up the backseat of our vintage car when we have our dog with us. Quite the niche market, but this works very well. We don't have headrests, so the standard backseat cover doesn't work for us. A standard rug would not have worked as 1. It gets messy quickly and 2. They have a scratchy underside that we would not want to put on our seat.I can tell you that washing it went very well and we simply dried it out on a clothesline. The fibers are soft and are actually much better quality than some other budget rugs I've purchased. I'd highly recommend this rug for any use.

The carpet is pretty thin and light. The quality is questionable. It is comfortable when stepping on it. The color is nice looking. It is easy to move around while walking on it. It is not easy to clean because it is light. We can not put it into the washer.

I rate this rug as 4 stars because it’s very pretty, unbelievably soft and well-made. The design and colors come together beautifully and the fabric feels great under the feet. The rug is fairly lightweight, doesn’t shed, has an anti-slip backing and quality edges. So it appears to be durable, and I like that it can be machine washed also.

In a house with kids and pets, we are all about making it easy to clean. This rug is perfect for that. It's very pretty and has a classic design. From a distance, you'd think it's a real woven rug. But it's not, it's like thicker velvet with the design painted on. Up close that's obvious, but it's a tradeoff worth making because the ability to just wash this when it's dirty is so convenient. This particular color combo of rust, black and brown hides dirt pretty well, so I don't have to wash this one as often as other rugs I have with lighter colors. When I do wash it, I sometimes have to do it twice because it is very large, and in our front loader washer theres no agitator, so the rug tends to ball up and some parts don't get as clean as others. This rug is now is in my teen's room, and it's nice and soft underfoot, does not slide around, looks good. Great find!

This was well packed upon arrival. My hubby doesn't like the color and pattern. I'm not a big fan either. I doesn't work with our interior. You have to make sure it works for you before you order it.
