It had been so many years since I needed to polish shoes that I was starting over. I liked the selection of different sizes and stiffnesses of brushes that came with this set. I never know what exactly I’ll need so it’s nice to have choices. Some are stiffer for removing dirt or excess polish. Some are softer for buffing. Different sizes for getting in crevices better. The cloths are good for a final polish. The only thing I added to my kit was some soft rags that I cut from an old t-shirt because I like those for applying and doing a first buff with. The polishes are good quality. With brown, black and clear, it takes care of most of my needs. The black and brown cover lightened scuffs. The clear just pretties and cleans up colored leathers without adding pigment. The polish seems to soak in well and doesn’t leave residue wiping off. I like having the storage tin to keep everything in one place where I can find it easily. It’s a good set for quick touchups and cleanups and also deep cleans.

Silky soft and effective.I noticed that the polish doesn't just sit on the surface; it soaks in and really nourishes and revitalizes the leather in a way that feels almost like giving you shoes a spa treatment. And when used in conjunction with the mink oil conditioner the results are just absolutely - WOW! My knee-high leather boots hadn't seen that much gloss since I first lifted them off the store shelf.This kit comes with 3 colors- Black, Brown, and Neutral. I LOVE leather so it wouldn't hurt my feelings any if there were about a dozen leather colors. And for that matter a larger quantity of the three it comes with. After shining my boots, I shined up my old leather coat, the passenger seat in my vehicle where it had gotten damaged, and 2 purses. I know there are a dozen other laces I can use this leather kit... in fact, I am thinking of a certain saddle that has been neglected since hurricane Ian.Ultimately, is the SALTY FISH kit worthy of recommendation? Unequivocally, yes. It would actually make a very thoughtful gift for that "Oh so hard to buy for" person's birthday, or a fathers day gift. Anyone who wears leather shoes should learn how to care for them, and very few people know how to do it anymore. This kit wraps utility and elegance into one sleek package.Considering everything—functionality, content quality, and added versatility—I'd comfortably rate this product at a solid 4.5 stars out of 5. The deduction is slight and stems from my desire for more polish but in no way diminishes the overall excellence of this kit. I bought this twice for a birthday gift for my daughter-in law and it was damaged both times and had to return it. Would really like to try it one more time but it’s a pain to return and re-order. Any other suggestions how I would get it without being damaged next time?

This is a good shoe cleaning kit, but it has no instructions. I have used this to make a couple of my pairs of shoes look almost brand new so far. Unfortunately, I needed my husband's help to use these items. He used to require using shoe polish since he used it on his military shoes. It is a bit complicated for me since the various brushes have different functions. Even my husband was unaware of a few of their uses. He only had much simpler kits. It is easy once I learned it. I don't like that it came with no instructions. I also don't like that the colors are not labeled. That makes every use more complicated than necessary. I had to use masking tape to label them for myself. That will be irritating for anyone. I didn't even know how to open the containers. I know that all of my problems may seem ridiculous, but I have never used a product like this before. I don't like to require help to use anything. I think that the instructions and labels would have been a very easy addition to this kit.

Good, but could be better. Needs another brush, and larger brushes.

The mini shoehorn is a good size for travel and won’t take up much room in your suitcase. The shoe brushes are good for a quick dusting or touchup, and the different polishes will cover up scuffs. This is a good kit for a young professional, someone who has high-end shoes they would like to keep looking nice as long as possible, or someone who goes on long business trips in their fancy shoes. This would be a nice gift for a recent graduate or someone who just got a promotion

I couldn’t be happier with this shoeshine and polish kit. The quality of everything included is absolutely phenomenal. There’s a great variety of items included to keep your shoes looking their best. The packaging is phenomenal and makes this a great gift idea. The affordable price tag is a nice bonus. Highly recommend!
