Easily accessible & effective
Took these pills for 3 months, and although I ultimately decided these weren’t for me and switched over to Nexplanon / the implant, the pills themselves did their job very well. They made my cycle incredibly consistent and a little lighter, and I was very happy with the predictability of my periods on the pill, since my regular cycle is extremely irregular. I had no noticeable side effects on Opill. The biggest plus for me with the pill was the convenience. I needed a quick birth control method without having to see a doctor, and since these kick in within 2 days and don’t need a prescription, I couldn’t ask for anything else. My biggest con for Opill is the fact that the window of effectiveness is so small. I missed a dose by 14 hours around the time I was supposed to ovulate, and it caused quite a pregnancy scare, which is what ultimately pushed me to seek out more long-term birth control methods since I realized that it was too stressful having to take a pill within a 3 hour window daily. I think Opill is excellent for what it is intended to be: easily accessible and effective birth control.

Works well with my body!
After taking this for a full month and now being on my second pack, I wanted to give a review on how it's been for me thus far!I started the pill on the first day of ovulation and chose to take it at 2pm every single day. This has given me enough time to make sure I'm awake and active to reduce the chances of missing the time to consume it.The first week: The only side effect I noticed was feeling slightly dizzy and nauseous on Day 3. I didn't eat anything with it and saw the side effects after two hours of taking it. I took an anti-nausea medication, ate, and napped which made me feel back to normal. My libido increased HEAVILY during the first two weeks of taking the Opill, which I did not mind one bit.Leading up to my period, I did notice my breasts increasing by the day, and felt way more bloated than usual. After a good magnesium bath soak, my body readjusted. My period was a normal flow with no side effects and ended on day 4 as opposed to day 5-6 (which is my normal). No breakthrough bleeding. No mental health issues or being over-emotional. I've taken combo BC pills for many years prior to this and did experience slight depression & lack of libido on the combo pill.My sister also started on the same day and is not experiencing any side effects from it. I must say, the negative reviews are scary, as all BC pills have different effects for different people. The only way to know is by taking it for yourself and being aware of how it is affecting your body! It's worth the chance compared to the OTHER choice (IMO)!

Opill is a solid choice.
Opill Daily Oral Birth Control Pills ReviewOpill is a progestin-only daily oral contraceptive (also known as the “mini-pill”) that offers a hormone-based, estrogen-free birth control option. It is available over the counter, making it a convenient choice for those seeking reliable pregnancy prevention without a prescription.Pros:✔ Over-the-Counter Access – No prescription needed, making it easily accessible.✔ Estrogen-Free – Ideal for individuals who cannot take estrogen due to health concerns (e.g., migraines, high blood pressure).✔ 99% Effective with Perfect Use – When taken consistently at the same time each day, it provides strong pregnancy protection.✔ Fewer Side Effects for Some – Compared to combination pills, it may have a lower risk of side effects like nausea or blood clots.Cons:❌ Strict Timing Requirement – Must be taken at the same time every day for maximum effectiveness; missing a dose by more than 3 hours may increase pregnancy risk.❌ Possible Irregular Periods – Some users experience spotting, changes in menstrual cycles, or even skipped periods.❌ May Cause Initial Side Effects – Like any hormonal contraceptive, potential side effects include breast tenderness, headaches, or mood changes.❌ Not for Emergency Contraception – Opill is for daily use and does not replace emergency contraception options.Final Verdict:Opill is a great choice for those seeking hassle-free, non-prescription birth control that is estrogen-free and effective when taken correctly. However, the strict timing requirement and potential for irregular periods may be a downside for some. If you need a low-maintenance birth control option and can commit to taking it daily at the same time, Opill is a solid choice.

Great for people coming off of the IUD.
I would recommend for people who are used to using low hormone progestin or something like the mirena IUD, which has a similar homone. I had the IUD for six years and constantly bloated and cramping so I opted for switching to this pill which was a easy and smooth transition. The first week I was extremely nauseous and it made me a little dizzy, but I did take it before bed at night like my doctor recommended so that I wouldn’t feel the full effects. I’m on month two and I got my period on it, but it was one day shorter than what I would normally get and not as painful over a while. If you know, your body can handle the type of hormone that is in this well, then you should be good. Everybody is different but for me it almost feels like nothing.

Awesome BC!
This birth control is amazing! At first my body took a while to get used to it, as I am sure that it'll take anyone time to get used to any kind of birth control but it has worked very well in preventing what it should! You can't beat the price for it either. This is, in my opinion, a very affordable birth control.

Not pregnant yet!
So far, working so good! No insane side effects. Great price for a baby pill. I used to pay $40 for one pack! So glad I’m not pregnant yet. I wouldn’t be able to afford a child. I can’t even properly cleanse myself, and I have to cleanse someone else?! I can’t do that. I know I’m 31, but I’m simply not ready for that responsibility! I got fired two weeks ago! Imagine I had a kid! I would be so stressed. Thank you Opill!
