Amazing tool - Great quality
I put these in my cart & saved for later. The price dropped substantially and I purchased them. I had searched the internet extensively for ratcheting bypass loppers and finally came across these on Amazon.com (most ratcheting loppers are anvil type). These are amazing!! Heavy duty yet lightweight. Extendable handles. High quality. An awesome value even at original price. If I needed two, I would buy another one immediately. Great product - highly recommend.

Best Loppers for your buck!
These are great ratcheting loppers / lopping shears for pruning trees. I use these to trim the limbs off of overhanging trees in the spring time and are also great for cutting up small limbs into kindling for winter firewood. Their ratcheting action really helps to give extra torque and makes cutting limbs and branches very easy. I also love their extendable handles. Do wear gloves and use caution - these loppers are super sharp! They are a perfect tool for gardeners and home owners and I highly recommend them. Seller was great too. Fast Shipping! Very Satisfied!

Excellent Loppers - Excellent Customer Service
These loppers look and appear to be perfect for the job. We thought we had found the perfect pruning tool for small, 3/4" to 1 1/4" dead branches. We used them once last November 2019 when they arrived. No problem, they cut perfectly. Then the loppers were unused during the winter. This week, 4/13/2020 we brought them out for use again. Used them a second time on 4/13/2020, again nothing but perfection. Then on 4/14/2020 during the third use EVER, the blade broke on a small 1 inch dead branch. A huge chip fell right out of the center of the blade. Disappointed? Absolutely. But I thought no problem, Kings County Tools is the manufacturer and Amazon is the seller, I'll just write Amazon. But to my demise, Amazon is no longer selling this item. I suppose I have no options at this point. I've written to Kings County Tools but have not received an acknowledgement or reply. In summary, be wary. The price point is the highest, yet the strength and durability is UNACCEPTABLE! 3 uses and it's useless. If Kings County Tools responds, I'll update this review. I've also written to Amazon but passing the buck seems to be the process thus far. Denny-Disappointed in Arizona! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 6/18/2020 UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW After I reported my broken blades to Amazon, and in turn to Kings County Tools, I was contacted by Kings County Tools. They apologized for the problem and asked me whether I wanted a new set of blades or an entirely new pair of loppers. I told them new loppers. A few days later, much to my surprise, I received a brand new pair of loppers. There isn't any better customer service than that!! Thank you Kings County Tools for handling my problem. When ordering tools in the future, I'll go to Kings County Tools first. I just referred my friend and neighbor and she is ordering a set of the anvil loppers as well!! its heavy
This tool seems to work well and the extension function can be helpful, but it is pretty heavy compared to other units I have used.

Thrilled to find pruners with ratchet action!
I love these geared pruners! I received my new pair a couple of days ago and went right to work. They are real workhorse pruners! They reduce the effort it takes to cut through thick branches by using smaller increments to create better leverage. I used to have a similar pair that I loved for about 15 years. I cannot express how thrilled I am to find a replacement for those. Another excellent feature is the push-button extension. Twist extensions just don’t seem to stay but these do.

The real deal!
My “brand name” loppers are flimsy and the cutting edges splay making it impossible to get a clean cut. These Kings County Tools ratcheting bypass loppers are in a totally different league! The cutting head is very substantial and able to cut thick branches easily and cleanly. But the tool is remarkably light because of the aluminum construction. While light, they are also incredibly strong because of how the aluminum arms are formed. Telescoping the arms to reach higher branches is a breeze. Just push in the button on each arm and extend it to your desired length. No knobs to twist or unscrew - super easy! Even the rubberized grips are beastly! This thing is built to take punishment and make you happy you spent the money to “get what you pay for.” P.S. I also have an older model that is non-telescoping and non-ratcheting which I bought in the late 80’s and they’re still going strong.

Purchased this very same anvil lopper I purchased possibly 10 years ago, or more. It was very easy to use, & was a great tool until the ratcheting stopped working in 2021. It simply would no longer clamp down & cut through anything. It took me almost 2 years to find a replacement. Perhaps I was looking in the wrong places. I would recommend this lopper to anyone doing arbour or bush trimming but warn not to try to cut anything too big, or you may run into the same problem I did. I blame myself for damaging the lopper. Would like to know from vendor if the damaged one I have can be repaired?

Excellent product. Well made of robust construction and better than many other Ratchet pruning shears that are available.

I have had a few. But this takes the cake very sturdy and ratchet works in confined areas. See the video on youtube
