Philips Hue Outdoor Power Supply 100w

Solid item, seems to work well so far.

Works as advertised. Outdoor rated. Durable.Nice to have the 2 connectors.

The outdoor light power supplies that hue create are necessary for their outdoor lights, and the 100w provides more flexibility that the 40w supplies with most of the products, however both 40w and 100w power supplies have a bad habit of failing not long outside of their warranty period.For a product designed to be outdoor their resistance to the elements seems highly suspect, which is a shame because the lights this (and it’s predecessors have been powering) have lasted 8 years with no failures so far.

I bought this to replace the PSU for 5 small lily lights, where one goes off if brilliant white and 100%. Worked fine for three weeks, then same issue. Hue stuff is fine, until it breaks and you are on your own. Better to buy the cheap Chinese rubbish, as it’s as reliable as Hue but you can buy three for the same price.
