The spring is adjustable so you can set it as strong as you need. I use it for a self closing pool gate and it works great. Grease it once/twice a year (if you're like me with our Canadian winters: once before the winter and once in the spring) and you won't have to worry. I'd buy it again, great product !

Very easy to install. The adjustability is great. You can make it close slow or close fast. They are great for families to have young children that they need to keep the doors closed. I bought these in the past and I will continue to use this product.
