Brother DCP-L8410CDW Colour Laser Printer, Wireless, PC Connected & Network, Print, Copy, Scan & 2 Sided Printing, A4, UK Plug

This is a lovely Printer, something i’m used to using in the NHS. The Delivery of this item was poor, it got stuck in the warehouse for a few days and turned up with a very wet box, although the item inside was undamaged . setting up via the app is really frustrating one app not recognising my IP address then passing me onto the other app, so unable to register. Packaging was very good, very big box lots of plastics!!! it all setting do not work like calibration and secure printing. I can’t scan documents via the auto feeder on top, and only the flat bed can be used to scan. However for copping the auto feeder does work. The quality is not true colour as in my phone which is annoying, i have contacted the support website as stated on Amazon and this helped a little, but again being past from pillar to post, why can’t things be simple??!!! But over all i am pleased with the printer, but just take note the heat roller inside only lasts for 30,000 prints, so not such a long life printer. but cost of ink powders and the printer works out better in the long run than an inkjet that costs £50+ for Inks, (we are such a throw away society it annoys me), as the last printer was only £60 to buy. The Brother print quality is good, but i struggle to reflect my colours from photo editing, it seems to like unedited photos with added brightness for the best results. And the printer apps give little in terms of adjustment, which is very frustrating and disappointing. Text is faultless i’m a bit disappointed in this area. If you want photo quality stick with inkjet printers!!! Brother seems to be a good make, and an NHS printer i’m familiar with, i would think about buying again if it was not for the total cost

Regularly running 60-100 documents a week, 4,000 to 5,000 a year, I am delighted with this purchase for local charity, Music on Thursdays.

It's quite heavy, which I did know, but carrying it upstairs wasn't easy as there isn't anywhere to grip. It's about the size and weight of a 21" CRT television. I used gloves that I've used at the gym for lifting weights etc. and that gave me a better grip. Installation also wasn't easy because the instructions are via pictures and diagrams. As a result, I missed removing the plastic on the left hand side of the drum and when I tried a test print, it wouldn't work properly. I did eventually realise that these plastic strips had to be removed, but it isn't obvious from the instructions. Print quality is good, especially when high quality paper is used. Much, much better than my previous inkjet. Software installation is easy. I haven't tried wireless printing because I don't need that.

Great printer but the model up from this has duplex scanning

I nearly fell through the floor when it came, it did not look as big on the Amazon web site, it is really big and along with that is the weight which is as they say it weighs a ton. I could only lift it about an inch off the floor but to be fair it does say in the accompanying paperwork it needs 2 people to lift it overall it is a superb laser printer for the money, once set up it is so easy to use and won't disappoint wifi is great so only the mains cable to worry about 5*****

Advertised on brothers website as having a two sided ADF however it cannot scan two sided from the ADF only manually via the scanner glass.

Running a teeny private tuition company, printing off my worksheets and tuition support materials is my biggest overhead. Just before my final GCSE prep workshops, I bit the bullet and invested in this printer. Now I don't know how I ever worked without it. Can't recommend it enough: easy to set up, excellent quality, quiet and able to handle large volume copying as well as a multitude of small, specific tasks. Brother customer services also fantastic. BTW, it's heavy: it's a 2 peep job to move it!

Hopefully this oner will last a while but io am super impressed with the ease of setup, printers are always a headache but this one works perfectly straight out of the box.
