Does this product work well with continued use over a long period and what happens if you have to keep putting it up and down frequently in use

We have had ours for over a year and a half and it works fine. We take it down every 3/4 months to clean any debris that might of fallen down the chimney. We have had no issues with putting it back up or getting it down and it seals the heat in our house just as good as the first day we got it.
