Rock-hard epoxy reminiscent of waterweld
I purchased this to re-make a broken plastic part for a pair of headphones. For this purpose, as it turns out, it probably won't work very well; when cured this is a very hard substance but brittle at narrow diameters. "Narrow" here being quite fine, let's say under 1/16" (1.5mm). At even 1/8" it is remarkably strong, so if you are working in dimensions greater than that you are probably okay.Color-wise - it is more of a very dark grey than black, think dark basalt. If you are okay with almost-black, than this is fine; I personally had to use just a touch of black resin dye to make it truly jet black like I wanted. You have to take care with that, though - using too much throws off the cure and the result is slightly softer than without the colorant - though this may actually work in your favor, depending on the application.Preparation is dead simple - You have tube of material with a core of material of one color, and outer ring of another; you slice a section off, knead it together for however long it takes for the colors to evenly blend, then continue to knead for the same amount of time again, then set it. Makes sure it has the shape and form you want, because after it dries you will have to chisel and sand down any imperfections. While curing you can use water to clean up the surface, minimizing finishing work, and likewise water can be used to clean up any excess on the surface or your hands. Sets relatively quickly, though full cure takes a couple hours. So would recommend as an hard epoxy putty, but not for doing fine work. For that, other kinds of 2-part resins would be preferred.

It works
Used this on exterior of garage doors - works great. Be very careful about observing cure time - it comes up fast. Sands easily and fills nicely. For what you get - price is ABSURD.

This stuff works great.
Chipped tile? Gouged wood? Broken countertop? It does it all. Sets up fast and stays solid. Worth the price

Fantastic product
Used this product to repair veneer on my mother’s old cedar chest. It was so easy to use. Just mix a small amount together with your fingers. Apply and smooth out as fast as you can. You only have a few minutes to work with it before it begins to harden. I used just a small amount at a time to fill in the area. Let dry and sand flat. I started with an 80 grit sand paper and finished with 220. Then stained in general finish brown mahogany. I could not be more happy with the results.

This product is great for creating seamless transitions and filling holes.
I was recently turned on to Mohawk's Epoxy Putty. I used it to build a very large built in cabinet with bookshelves above it. The adhesion was great and provided a seamless transition from the face frame to the cabinet's carcass. I painted the unit so I am not sure how this product would work with stain but I plan on testing it out soon. This epoxy was easy to use and sand and, allowed me to easy determine when the two adjoining pieces were flat (I used it in the small crevice between the face fame and carcass). I also used this to fill some holes. It was thick and pliable for several minutes, which allowed me to make sure I had it in place. While I will still use "normal" wood filler, I have definitely added this to my arsenal and have already purchased a second stick.
