Speedo Unisex Fastskin Prime Mirror Goggles

This is a very bad product. Firstly, the assembly. You have to be a Lego genius to put this thing together. Then it is usable, comfortable even, and doesn't get foggy or leaking for a couple of sessions. But then the golden mirror layer starts to peel off, the googles get foggy, and you can get leaks as well where the lens and the frame meet. I guess they designed this for one race and that's all; but then this should be clearly stated.

Nose bridge constantly comes apart and needs fixing. Supposed to be for long distance swimming. Certainly not comfortable fit. Would not buy again or recommend them either

These are excellent goggles for racing, but not so great for training. You wouldn't train in your Powerskin Carbonflex crazy expensive swimmers, and similarly these aren't really intended for slogging up and down the lanes I think. These are high-speed flat out racer goggles.There are very light, and with the near infinite customisation you can get a tremendously close fit for absolute minimum drag. These don't stick out beyond your temples, and sit very snug to the face. The low profile means they stay rock solid from a dive or a tumble turn. Visibility is excellent, and while there is a slight distortion where the lens curves you don't notice it unless you look for it and the anti-fog is the best I've ever seen. They are super comfortable, once you've set them up with a nose-piece to match your particular facial geometry. Wearing them on the face, they have an aggressive appearance, which can only ever be good for intimidating the opposition.The various frames and straps are fun, but a bit of a gimmick. It's quite easy to click everything together to an arrangement you like - I've no idea why other reviewers are struggling with this - and although it's quite fun to be able to colour match your club colours it's not really something you need to bother with. I'd have much rather that Speedo knocked a few quid off the high price and just left them ready to go. It's worth bearing in mind that if you rock up to a comp with the unopened box in your bag, you're going to have to do some high speed assembly before you get on the blocks.A great pair of goggles, but these are meant for serious racing. You may well feel a bit self-conscious wearing these on a training night, but they are so good it's hard to keep them 'for best' Fantastic.

The Speedo Unisex Fastskin Prime Mirror Goggles, USA Charcoal/White/Lava Red, One Size arrived in a big box. Opening the box presents you with a combination of different sizes for the bridge nose bit and differing colour options by preference with what you want to wear and swim with. I chose the already set up eye pieces in the black frame. I choose the white band but was not certain how to thread this through, there are instructions but you would be better of checking the Speedo website how to put this together. What is quickly apparent is DO NOT TOUCH INSIDE THE LENS, it has a special coating that will be damaged by human touch. This is the demister coating on the inside of the eye piece. I carefully noted the video about the threading of the headband and did re-check this two to three times that I had threaded this at the back. I used the setting of 2.5 which fitted my head quite nicely. Not tight but not loose either. I made sure to keep these in the pouch for storage. I did note from the video the thought and development that has gone into the construction of the googles. They are excellent built and quality. I go swimming 2-4 times per week and tonight was adult swimming night. I put the googles on and went swimming, I was surprised these are the most comfortable swimming glasses i have ever worn. No water seepage and no mist in the google, these offered perfect vision. I did 50 lengths and the googles are definitely luxury grade with regards to comfort, they are excellent. The experience with these and swimming in the water is a pleasure. Buying these and you will never go back to a cheaper type of swimming google. I think they represent excellent value and are worth the high asking price for what you will get.

I'm used to swimming goggles which are already set-up upon opening, it's just strap adjustment that needs doing. With these, you get a bunch of parts and assembly is required. Included in the box are as follows:∙ Lens x1.∙ Frames x2 (one in each colour).∙ Straps x2 (one in each colour).∙ Buckles x2 (one in each colour).∙ Nose bridges x6 (3 different sizes in two colours).∙ Soft travel bag.∙ Instruction manual.The frames are already connected with a nose bridge each and only one the frames have the lens pre-attached and the straps are detached. If you want to change frame colour or change the bridge size, then there will be more assembly required.I found the instruction manual easy enough to follow and it only took a couple of minutes to set-up. Luckily for me, the lenses were already in the coloured frame I wanted and the nose bridge was the appropriate size.These goggles are very streamline (as you would expect); lightweight and comfortable to wear when adjusted appropriately, plus good suction around the eyes keeping it watertight.From a point of view from someone who can't swim without goggles, I'm very impressed so far.
