As soon as I open the package, I read the instructions, went to the garage, press the red button, and the new remote button. It took less than 3 seconds to learn the code. I was amazed at how fast and easy programming. I was using my new remote in less than a minute. I love it! Their customer support is outstanding. I received the programing instructions on my email the same date it arrived at my house and instructions in the box too. I love it! It looks great and well built. Best remote I ever bought!!

I love this product. I had bought a different branded product 5 months ago, and it continuously lost the connection with my garage door. This one has a protective cover for it that slides over the buttons and keeps the unit programmed. It also easily attaches to my key chain with the provided clip attachment. This garage remote was so simple to program that I only had to read the instructions once and just go to my garage and quickly program the device. My previous garage remote, that no longer works and cost nearly twice as much as this one, was so complicated and the instructions for programming so convoluted that I had to have the instructions in front of me for the many times that I had to reprogram it. Thank you ExcelTek for producing a garage remote that is functional and practical. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I needed an extra remote for my garage door opener. This seemed like a logical choice as it’s small, lightweight and portable on a key chain. I checked the color of my learn button (red) and ordered the correct item. When it arrived I pull my car out, put a ladder in place, pushed the learn button and picked the ‘A’ button on the remote. Works perfectly. I wish other things in life were this simple. Great product at a great price! Thanks

I bought two of these a year ago. They worked really well -- enough so that I bought another 4 months later. However in the last 4 months ALL three of this remote control stopped working. First they lost the pairing with the garage door opener. I would have to re-pair the control w/ the opener. Lately they all stopped working altogether -- perhaps because of a dead battery, which, by the way, cannot be replaced by the user. I have since replaced the ExcelTex remote controls with the Liftmaster 374UT remote control, which costs a bit more than the ExcelTek but works much better and permits user replacement of the battery, when required.

This is a good little garage door opener. It works well with one hiccup. Setup was very simple. Press the Red button on the garage door opener, then press the button on the garage door opener. Voila ... it works. The only thing I've run in to over the last week or so of using it is that occasionally, I have to press the door opener button twice for it to open the door. Not quite certain why this is. However, 8 times out of 10, it works on the first press.Overall, I'm pleased with this item and I like the fact I can easily carry it in my pocket when I go on walks.Recommended.

Appears well constructed. Programmed easily. Took longer to get out the ladder. Buttons have a sliding cover preventing accidental actuation and battery drain. The cover is also well constructed. DEFINITELY better construction than the overpriced 970LM, which I also bought from this website for way too much money. Needless to say, it no longer works - lasted for a few months in fact - and the seller could care less. Factory part, and not their problem. No, I did not use it as a hockey puck.Reviews on new products should be taken for what their worth; first impressions with no history. I will update in 2 years for the real deal.

Bought 2. Nice and feels solid. I like the idea of not leaving an opener in the car. Easy set up. Was working 100% if the time then today it took a couple of presses to operate on both remotes at separate times... never have that with my home link.

This product was used to replace my old garage door remotes. Your product works exceptional. It was very easy to program the ExcelTek 971 remote. I really enjoy the small compact size which connects easily to a key chain. I ordered three of the remotes and two of them came with the key chain and one without.
