Safety 1st Adhesive Magnetic Lock System, 2 Locks And 1 Key

The media could not be loaded. I personally love the Safety1st magnetic locking system! I used it when my daughter was a toddler and she is now 6 years old. My son is 2 and I use still use it and it is as fictional as ever! It is super easy to install—it comes with a 3M command strip that is durable and will be easy to remove in the future if needed. It also came with a small installation template that simplified the installation even more! The magnet is durable as well and makes for easy opening when needed! I also love the function of being able to keep it locked if I need it to be and unlock when I don’t! Additionally, my son is a string 2 year old and has attempted to put all of his effort into opening the cabinet for a snack and its strong locking system withstood that effort! Overall awesome product and would definitely recommend!

This cabinet lock is amazing. I didn’t buy it for children, I bought it for my cat! He is very smart and has learned how to open the cabinet where I keep the treats, chewy meds for the dog, and other meal additives (fish oil). I had first purchased a different lock that had zip ties and a secret button to open. But there was still enough play between the two cabinet doors to create a gap, to which little Mr GrabbyPaws could reach in and fish something out.This is by far easier to use and looks better as there is nothing hanging on the outside of the cabinets. I was concern about the strength of the magnet, my cabinets are a thick wood, there was not problem, it works great.

We use this to keep food from disappearing from the pantry- cause seven kids🤩 Works great. Even better when you remember where you put the magnetic key.

These are working well on our single door cabinets. Assuming the doors are properly adjusted before installation they do a good job of keeping our grandchildren out of the cabinets. With the installation tool it was easy to mount and align the latch to the catch so I was able to install the four we needed in about 15 minutes. These are not strong enough to keep an adult out if they do not have the magnet key. I know this as we thought the key had fallen into one of the locked cabinets and I was able to open the door with enough downward and outward pressure. On the plus side after forcing the door open the lock parts remained firmly attached to the cabinets with no signs of damage. After all of that the magnet key was not in the cabinet and was later found to have attached itself to a metal container. It would be nice if the set came with two keys so you can keep a backup someplace where it would not get lost. The locks are a bit pricey but for our case of 4 doors and not wanting to drill into the cabinets they are worth the extra cost. If we had had to do more doors I probably would have looked at other products or developed something on my own.

Installation was easy. You can rely on the included adhesive alone or can opt to add screws for extra security. The adhesive has held up just fine though, after more than a year of use.The magnet key works reliably. You don't have to be terribly precise with the placement. It helps that we aligned the latches with the door handles so that the handles act as guides for placing the magnet.A nice feature is the optional hold open switch that lets you disable the latch without removing it. It's useful if we're cooking something that requires repeated cabinet access and our toddler is out of the kitchen.Be sure to store the key out of reach. Kids can be shockingly observant and will figure out how to use it sooner than you might think. If our two year old gets ahold of the key she goes straight to the cabinet and places it precisely where it goes to unlock the door. Thankfully it hasn't yet occurred to her to try using fridge magnets as substitute keys.
