Love it, need to look at altitude as well ...
Love it, need to look at altitude as well as water temperature. Both of these things we think have been factors in our ice cream making process. It was fun figuring out what works best in a cold lake in Montana

not sure if it would do better behind a boat
says you can use it with a kayak, but never could get it to spin. not sure if it would do better behind a boat. it just dragged behind, i had it on about a 20' rope, but it always sat at a bit of an angle, wondering if i weighted the front end to level it out if it would work better. nothing wrong with the swivel itself. very durable, on the upside, the agitation of just being pulled behind, did make ice cream and it was AWESOME!!!!. I used mostly heavy cream, a bit of half &half, vanilla and sweetened condensed milk, instead of sugar. need to have 2 or 3 of them to have enough ice cream.

Not worth the Money
I feel like for $50 this would be a little bigger. The cup is way too small. Having to make ice cream for multiple kids on one boat ride is ridiculous with this thing. You are better off making ice cream in a bag and shaking it by hand. Takes less time and you get more ice cream!

Bummed
After buying a house along a good sized stream/river, and being a huge ice cream eater, I was excited to try this out...making my own "healthy" ice cream with quality ingredients. Unfortunately, the interior stainless steel ice cream holder came out and disappeared the first time I used it, so I can't even report on the quality of the ice cream.
