Family matters
Another movie from Marvel. Sequel to the first Guardians of the Galaxy film from three years ago. You'll get more out of this if you've seen that. Which you very probably have if you're reading this. But just in case.Time has passed since said first film. Groot has grown a little. But the Guardians are about to have a little bit of a spat. As families do.So it's possibly not a good time for them for Peter to finally find out the truth about his father. Threats await as well. People are going to have to make choices and realise what they really want. And the universe could be in very big trouble..A movie designed for those who enjoyed the first film. This can't be as original as that one was. So it has to have the same strength of character and emotion that it did. Plus all the humour. It manages all that. And then some. The pacing can slacken off at points but when it does there are strong character moments. The emotional life lessons of the film are obvious, but it doesn't hammer them home.It has some very good new characters. Surprising development for returning ones, making them very three dimensional. Great visuals. Lots of humour. And another superb soundtrack. Plus some great camoes. It's a film that sets out to entertain. And it certainly succeeds in doing that. It's well worth five stars.Do keep watching to the end of the closing credits. Not just for the usual extra scenes, but for a lot of other fun things. The disc has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English, Hindi, Spanish.Subtitles: English, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Portugese, Spanish, Swedish. It's also English Audio described. The dvd begins with a trailer for the upcoming 'Thor Ragnarok.' You can skip it via the next button on the dvd remote. Said trailer is in the sneak peek section of the disc anyhow. It has no extras whatsoever.

For me, it was as good as the other films.
I'm a fan of ELO and Mr Blue Sky is one of my favourite of their songs, so, good start to the movie.Enjoyed it, lots of action and comedy just how i like my films, highly recommend it.

Fantastic movie, mind-blowing visuals
The first movie was great, but for me this put even that one firmly in the shade. Great characters, great story, draws you in for a solid two hours from the first minute to the last with thrills, laughter and a few touching moments. All of this is significantly enhanced by the fact that the UHD presentation is *simply breathtaking* to behold. The visuals are eye-poppingly gorgeous and threaten to divert your attention from the movie itself. I watched this on an LG E6 OLED via an Oppo UDP-203 and it simply blew me away. The only criticism I have is that the UHD BluRay doesn't include Dolby Vision encoding, which I can't imagine would have cost much (if anything) to include. Even with a "mere" HDR10 presentation the visuals are mind-blowing, but for those of us fortunate enough to possess the requisite hardware watching it in Dolby Vision would likely have taken it to yet another level - something a movie such as this deserves. That glaring omission, however, doesn't come close to stripping a star off a well-deserved five star rating for the movie and the UHD BluRay itself.

Marvels Funnier Super Hero Flick..!
Set just months after the first Guardians movie, the gang are getting by as heroes for hire, living up to their reputation as troublemakers-turned-galactic saviours! But of course, word travels fast, and when they’re not making more trouble for themselves, trouble is now actively finding them! Saving the universe hasn’t made them any smarter or more pious. If anything, it’s had the opposite effect...This movie is a very fun superhero film. It does not provide us with a very heavy storyline, the premise is quite simple and best of it all, it’s absolutely funny!. My partner and I truly enjoyed this movie as we could’nt stop laughing at several of the scenes and there were even some emotional moments as well which were lovely to watch at the end. I love the chemistry among the Guardians, and I loved Baby Groot's very cute and adorable behavior. I also loved the opening scene which my partner thought was very cool and kept going back to watch again and again. In addition to the brilliant chemistry among the stars, I also felt that Mantis' character was fun to watch, especially whenever she was interacting with Drax. In this sequel, it was also surprising to see Drax' extremely funny side and hilarious comments. Both Yondu and Nebula also had much larger and important roles in this movie compared to Volume 1. There was even a surprise new character played by Sylvester Stallone whom I understand would be having a larger role in future Marvel movies.Apart from those fun interactions and the nice light story, the movie itself was not the type full of action scenes. There were a few spread out through the movie. The sound effects were good, the effects involving Baby Groot and Rocket were awesome, but the CGI effects during the scenes in the Ego planet where looked extremely computerized. One thing that was quite curious for me is the trailer to this movie was already showing Kurt Russel portraying Peter's father, which I thought would be best kept hidden to avoid a major plot spoiler! But then as we continued watching it, I realized that it was more like a part that was supposed to intrigue us.I personally felt that this movie was better than Volume 1, in term of the story, comedy and characterizations. And for those of you who knew that Marvel's movies would have some end credit scenes, better wait till the very end, since this film has got not 1, not 2 not even 3, but 5 post credit scenes altogether! So if you enjoyed the first volume, you will definitely enjoy this one even more. I would recommend you to watch the first one before seeing this one to have a better understanding on the movie. If you are a fan of a much heavier plot based/action based/ morale based superhero movie, than this one may not suit you, but I am confident that you would still be entertained watching this one!
